King's Lynn 2016

Recommended Posts

Absolutely untrue.

Garrity, Newman, Kerr, Steve Worrall have improved PL performances whilst on the draft list.

Sarjeant couldn't even get a PL team place in 2014 but was a success for Glasgow and Coventry in 2015 as a direct result of being on the list. The likes of Bates has also progressed in the PL, with being on the draft list also.

The complete joke is allowing the PL to use rubbish foreigners in reserve and also the NL allowing foreigners on dual passports to compete in a league meant to promote BRITISH riders.

The PL has finally woken up to giving the next generation a chance at number 7,not before time.

The EL ahead of the game on that one. Even if it's cost cutting as well.

If that's the case then it's the PL thats cost cutting too.

Presumably your NL remark was aimed in the direction of Bradley Wilson Dean? Rule has now changed around that this year, but to be honest he was a great addition to the league, but it 's all a matter of opinion.

I was referring as much to Spiller but yes also.

Great addition yes. Place to further progression? Absolutely not.

Do you consider Tai Woffindon British then? The Spillers are of British parentage and only moved out to Germany for UK Armed Services reasons. Looking forward to both of them riding here in NL this year myself.

The difference is that Tai has nailed his colours to the British flag.

I see the point regards Spiller however not BWD.

BWD isnt allowed to ride NL this year, and rightly so.

I guess it annoys\upsets\niggles many British fans that Tai doesn't seem to care about racing here, he was asked about 2016 and said he hadn't given the UK a thought 😐

He clearly loves Aus and all that it has given him/gives him and clearly at some point he will go back and see out his days there I'm sure.

ELD should not be consigned to the elite league.

This draft scheme should start in the NL, once a rider reaches the number 1 position in the team, why not then move into a PL team reserve spot so the rider can achieve the natural progression route. This way the rider would gain far more experience.

The Elite league is supposed to be the strongest league in the UK, but is it?

British youngsters need nurturing along the progression route, not thrown in at the deep end and be protected.

The teams who a few certain people think bent rules etc to win, are nothing more than shrewd business men who are one step ahead of the rest.

And your point is?

Whether he likes Aus or not or retires there the fact is he is British!

With his busy schedule, I can't blame him for not riding in the EL because it is a total farce!

I don't see the problem with Tai loving Australia, he grew up there for crying out loud. I don't think its fair for people to say he rides for GB out of convenience either, he was born here to British parents and I believe he is proud to represent GB. People are allowed to be passionate about more than one country, I don't know why others feel the need to pigeonhole him into one or the other. He has strong links with both at the end of the day.

Tai made his choice when offered to ride for either Country and he went British. At That time the British route to competing on an international stage was probaly less 'cluttered' He had a lot of riders in front of him at that particular time ( Crump, Adams, Holder etc). So I would suggest it he made the correct commercial decision. The Boy was brought up in OZ, so obviously has allegiance to that Country. It's a bit like in Football terms when Jurgan Klinsmann was manager of the USA and playing In Germany in the World Cup Finals. A German Through and Through but wanted badly for the US to beat them.

I'm one of those British fans .... I don't care who he represents, where he lives and retires but I do care that he doesn't give a toss about racing in British speedway.

Thats hardly an exclusive club now is it Trees ? Judging by the way the riders at Lynn just turn and head back to the pits after a race, just shows the total lack of intetest that many riders have for the fans. One day the fans will wake up a see that to the riders It is just a job.

not a Tai hater at all but if anyone think the British flag is nothing but a flag of convenience sadly has there head buried in sand , home for Tai is Australia without doubt .

Haven't seen him raising money for anything in Australia. Nowt better than a buried head in the sand to fail to prove a point.

Have you looked Steve ? I have No idea if Tai has ever raised Money in Oz, Unless The Rob Woffinden meeting can be classed as a fund raiser.

The key is if he has them im sure someone will bring it forward as an argument.

Has Tai even competed in all the Rob Woffinden meetings?

It's not like Tai set up his dads charity fund raiser more to do with other people feeling the need to set it up.

Its a fact of life though that successful GP riders have cut the UK out in order to be fresher for the GP rounds, the proof of the pudding is that Tai won it again last season. I would rather have a British world champion than a rider who is 'loyal' to the EL but halfway down the GP standings.

Until British Speedway decides to fit round GP riders we really can't moan about them not riding over here.
