SteveLyric2
Oh dear what have you done to deserve Mads. The management must really be scrapping the barrel. He started of really well for the Lions last year, then he just went into his shell, at times he would have been better not riding at all, it was pitiful to watch him race. Good luck I hope he does better than he did for the Lions and what I saw of him in the Swedish league. He was bad. Could not even manage to keep a reserve betrh there. Strange that it was not only Mads that didn't do that well at Leicester!!? Maybe its a Danish thing? Or maybe its a management/motivational thing?!

'Scrapping the Barrel' is hardly the expression I would use here. Mads is the type of rider who generates excitement, and the fans love him. Here at Lynn we probably don't win much but we have a lot of fun, all the riders really enjoy racing our well renown track. Mads is not a gater, but he does try hard when the opportunity arises. Watching him ride the boards at Lynn is worth the admission alone. In this weakened league, Mads should be in his element. No he won't be hitting big scores, but watching score points the hard way is what speedway is all about. Mads is a confidence rider . he needs to be wanted and appreciated. I don't think he got a lot of that at Leicester, and on a track when you have to gate, his chances were stacked against him from the start. Scrapping the Barrel hardly, I say Leicester lost is our gain, What a wonderful inclusion for exciting racing .....

I totally agree Mads is a very entertaining rider and his never give up round the boards style is great to watch. I have no doubt he will do well in this league. semion
With all these entertaining riders we are going to enjoy at Lynn I hope Buster is going to come up a track befitting their skills. It certainly hasn't be available very often in the past couple of years

Only Robert Lambert could make a pass happen

It certainly hasn't be available very often in the past couple of years Maybe the change of personnel in the team will lead to a change of track prep. I can't believe that Buster would prepare a track that his biggest points scorers disliked.
ouch
I can't believe Buster wouldn't prepare an exciting racetrack irrespective of the members of his team.
Trees
It all depends what time Buster has been able to devote to the track surely, it's multi use .... it's also down to the will of the riders to go for it too....

Daniel Smith
Simon Lambert at reserve i reckon I think the choice has to be between him & Roynon. Not much else to choose from

weatherwatcher
Scraping the barrel is a South Derbyshire term, to say you are doing something as a last resort when there are very few other opions open for you. It was not just at home that Mads failed to bring in the points he was bad away too, If you are happy with him scoring 4 or less a meeting thats OK. He was so bad this year in Sweden that most matches he only came out once or twice that is if he was in the team at all mjost races he came in at the back
waiheke1
Reserve in poland/Sweden top flight is tougher than racing as 2nd string here. Can't believe that anyone thinks mads is a bad signing

Bagpuss
I think the choice has to be between him & Roynon. Not much else to choose from Wilkinson? Unfortunately a reserve combination of Lambert & Rose would look rather weak compared to others.
SCB
Mads will be much better for us than he was for Leicester, think the track and the atmosphere will suit him much more. Like Troy we know exactly what we are getting as both have spent time at the club before, there'll be no surprises or shocks. Mads averages 5.95 as a heat leader on a gaters tracks. As a second string on a racers track he'll be capable of 7+ Edited December 12, 2015 by SCB
