you'll should have no problem getting riders I've read on here for years (from lynn fans) that you have the best race track , the best fans and the best promo if schlein decides to have a season premier (to get some confidence back ) and bjerre decides to go to pastures new your right in the pooper scooper

Taken from todays EDP

How many GP riders will actually be riding in the Elite League this season. Maybe the days of these top boys riding in the UK are coming to an end. No NKI, Zager, Magic this season.

Is it really bad thing for British Speedway ?

Could it be a line-up looking something like

Batchelor

Lambert

Bjerre

Schlein

Porsing

Kerr

Rose

Would that fit ?

Devastating news for Kings Lynn and the sport in this country, it is ok for him to say he is available in case of injuries but you would have to replace at least two riders to fit him in. The writing was on the wall when he went to the meeting recently and celebrated with the fans on his Cardiff win and the season as a whole. Great rider, great guy and will be missed by most speedway fans in this country.

You say that with so much thought and kindness........ an sarcasm

Such wonderful supporters out there......... with Niels not riding, not only damages the Stars side but also the whole of the Elite League concept.

With Niels, Janowski and probably Zagar not riding in the EL next season, plus Darcy's enforced absence, that takes away the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 6th rated riders (by average) from 2015 and seriously dilutes the product on offer. It also leaves Jason Doyle as the only rider with a 2015 average above 7.9pts.

I just don't get why the BSPA are getting all the flack, if they bowed down to the GP riders, and that's 15 of them yes just 15 at most, you would end up seeing 1 meeting a fortnight if lucky, several tracks would close and several of said riders would take the P and use the meetings to test engines/earn a bit extra etc.

That's my view, always has been and always will. Speedway to me is about 4 riders, 4 laps and the hope of decent racing between reasonably similarly talented riders.

Pretty much what your Promoter and new BSPA Chairman has said!!

League amalgamation and racing on Fri/Sat/Sun within 2 years I reckon.

Nah, Star Lady still won't attend haha

The pigging GP organisers are getting it all their own way, let's hope Poland kick up more stink over their clubs going to the wall, they must know that BSI have just been using their sponsors and their clubs over the years...

Wrong Trees I probably would, I've always preferred PL racing because there's far more chance of 4 riders racing than 2 overpaid ones at the front and 2 others trundling round at the back. I know that didn't happen much at the NA mainly I think because of the track but most of the away matches I went to (and there were loads) were belters.

As for the GPs, I can take them or leave them. Apart from Nicki I have no longer have any affiliation to any of the riders in it. If they prefer to pursue individual glory at the expense of team loyalty that's their right and I have no argument with it, but don't expect me to wring my hands when they do.

Terrible news for Lynn fans but this has been coming for years and the promoters have just ignored the warning signals

I asked the question at Niels talk in at Lynn the other week did he like Busters idea of fixed race nights for the EL and he completely agreed that it made a lot of sense.

Funny how it makes a lot of sense to supporters and riders but promoters don't seem to agree or not enough of them to make it happen.

Agree with the last para. I won't be crying about it but I do stil prefer EL racing. Racing at any level can be strung out or close and riveting, don't think that makes much difference. What you do get at lower levels are more basic mistakes and falls.

if averages are the basis fir determining while is on the Hl list, then the concept of having a Hl list is idioted

Until we see this list there is no knowing how they have made any decisions.

Didn't Skidder say he'd only ride in March/April?!

Vaculik has as good has nailed himself to Poole if he did come.

As a seasoned follower of the sport it really disappoints me when we lose the cream riders. I hear all this talk about 4 riders, racing round with no brakes, but that don't pull in the punters. Its the star riders fans come to see. You can't charge top dollar for a product that doesn't have top riders. Without top riders we may as well be watching Premier League

Years ago, it was said that Michael Lee would put a thousand on the gate, no problem. Its been the same with all the top riders at Lynn, and Niels was no different. Even when watching the young Stars, supporters would come just to watch the new sensation in Robert Lambert.

The problem now with the sport, based on decisions made by the BSPA in driving these top riders away, will have a detriment effect on the appeal to the fans and the numbers will continue to dwindle. I know many fans who only went to marvel at Niels in full flow....

Getting an instant replacement will be virtually impossible....... I just hope, with a drop-off in numbers, the sport can survive these troubled times.....
