King's Lynn 2016

As the facility for Kai H was authorised by the SCB (as told to our SCB on Twitter) it obviouly comes under the best known rule not in the rule book....."in the best interests of the sport"

Case closed

A k a "special dispensation". I have just read the last two pages of this thread and it illustrates why supporters are leaving this sport in droves. What a complete and utter load of b******s :mad:

I think the main thing every club would kill for was for every speedway promotion to own their own stadiums.I wouldn't mind a little bit of a run down stadium as long as i knew the future of speedway was safer there.

In Sweden all the tracks were once owned by the promoters but they all went broke and are now owned by the local authoities

Having a crappy rulebook is something we are all use to, the problem is how rules are interpreted differently depending on which clubs are involved. Belle Vue continually get penalised by weirded interpretations whereas if you're in the clique or have some say like the chairman you can bend things to your favour. There's no swings and roundabouts its just the same old clubs doing as the please and the same old club being sh*# on from a great height.

I don't think the SCB are fit for purpose. Or the BSPA for that matter. Won't ever happen but a new governing body and rule book is what British speedway desperately needs.

I thought it was common knowledge that the rulebook is being 're-written' - or at the very least being looked at and revised - by the SCB referees!!

Although if they are anything like today's Malilla SGP referee, I don't hold out a lot of hope!! ;-)

The two questions are:-

1) Which language are they using for the re-write?

2) Will the special dispensation rule be retained?

MIGHT be nearer than you think ...

If there is another set of rules being considered , wouldn't it been a better idea to involve the fans and take on board some of their feelings and ideas. When you look at some of the more recent inventions I would have thought a little help would have been greatly appreciated....

Who ever you are, regardless of ability, it always best to have an open mind when thinking of being positive....

The last thing you want is THEM and US....

You never know, they might have already taken on board ideas from this and other speedway related forums, and have/are incorporating the chosen rules/formats/punishments/rewards..

That being the case, why not air the new set of rules for comments before they are implemented... After all, we all want the same thing in that Speedway is exciting and run fairly with equal teams......

That's how we got the current rule book, everybody airing/adding their respective point of view (personal interest).

Well let's hope so, been about as much use as a chocolate teapot in the last decade.

)

Well it hasn't happened so far, so don't hold your breath.

I thought there were a couple of open fan forums earlier this season to get fan views. I'm a bit disappointed that there haven't been more around the country but one or two promoters are clearly seeking feedback from their own fans.
