King's Lynn 2016

Recommended Posts

Are Lynn fans pd off with the fact that if you don't sign a top No 1 rider you will not get your money's worth and miss out on seeing a top rider every week.

Or are you more pd off that you don't think that the team will be as competitive as the other teams that have IfZagar,Jonsson.Holder,Doyle and Kasprzak were missing as well and all the teams were in the same boat. But as a result all the teams were more even with the riders that were left spread out and(eg the likes of Batchalor,Harris Cook and Andersen as No 1s) would you be happier.

What i am trying to find out really is whether its the top riders or a compeitive team is more important to fans.

Decent racing, win or lose is my option.

Think many Lynn fans are more annoyed with the way they have been treated over the last few months than the lack of a no 1.

Some of the people on this forum do know.A lot is speculation on this forum, this is what gets some posters wound up if they know I assume.

Anyway not saying anything else on this matter I'm sure you will want the last say anyway as always,so over to you.

At least it's clear when you say 'many people' take issue with my posts you actually mean you. I can live with that surprisingly.

At least given the chance to prove your point you have failed to do so so yes there is indeed nothing else to say on the matter so time to move on.

At least I have had the chance to defend myself against someone who makes stuff up.

Much love to the usually decent Kings Lynn folk, hope I can make a trip over this season. Always enjoy my trips to the home of the stars.

he didn't enjoy last season, and that shows in his scores I spose .. maybe taking a step back initially is the way forward (and I don't mean PL)

He had a poor season that's true.

So if not Kenny just who will the stars pull out the bag for the last place, intriguing!

absolutely- treated like mushrooms all winter though I'd include most of last season also - treated like fools over the 50th season thing quite happy to sell tshirts and hoodies only to be told actually it's not our 50th season - quite happy to take our money though . Over the winter we've been kept in the dark no supporters meeting little info coming via the website more came via Twitter from riders .

In all my years of supporting Kings Lynn Speedway and I go back to 1972 I've never known a winter like it . Let's hope we have a season to remember for the right reasons on the track and I really hope Buster and Rob take on board the concerns fans have cus without us the fans there be no speedway .

2015 was the 50th anniversary of speedway coming to King's Lynn but was not the 50th season.

King's Lynn shut its doors for a whole year in the 1990s.

Lakeside seem to have signed ten riders but Lynn are stuck on six.

What is going on in West Norfolk this winter? Reminds of some long time in the past when there were a couple of vacancies in the team virtually right up to the start of the season when up popped Kennett and Woods ...and those with long memories know how successful (not) that was.

it was Mark Courtney and Paul Woods not Kennett though he did ride for the club

Lakeside have just signed there 9th squad member they seem to be the only club doing this apparently clubs can now blood young overseas talent in the no8 position - why has there been no BSPA Statement on squads and the no8 rule ? What are the rules on squads ? Also where does this leave other clubs ? Lakeside seem to be the only club that's got a squad system in place . Also is this a route Kings Lynn could go down of we can't gets riders that will commit to a full season

We've been able to rely on Buster and Rob for many years, they have always brought us competitive teams, for the sake of their business they will again no doubt ....

It could also be said that all good things come to an end. Normally Buster is full of it during the off season, loads of stull coming out of Saddlebow in The EDP, Lynn News etc This year the silence is deafening. When things are done a certain way and the fans are happy with that way, If you suddenly change things then questions will always be asked.

Just because Buster has brought decent teams to the start line in the past, doesn't mean it will happen every year. I can recall a couple of very ordinary teams we had at Premier League. Tacey and Tom P being heat leaders was one such year. Our First year in the Premier was really top heavy. 3 big hitters at the top end In Topinka, Parker and Watt, but not to much underneath. So There is no given right that it will happen every year.

It's not so much the make up of the team Semion, it's the total lack of respect for the fans. Someone always has to come bottom of the league and if it's Lynn's turn so be it (us old uns have loads of experience of it :D ). We have always had mutual respect between Buster and the fans, that's totally missing and has been since midway thro last season. There was the 50th season debacle, the lack of announcement of prices/season tickets, no fans forum. no updates on riders who have been signed etc. I could go on but you know what I mean. It's almost as if Buster has delegated stuff to someone else and that someone else is either incompetent or don't give a damn.

It's so totally out of character for Buster I cannot think of any other explanation. Buster is a businessman and has always had his head screwed on, he has always talked to the fans (even if they haven't always liked what he said :P ). I'm rapidly thinking if they don't value me and the pittance I pay to attend why should I bother and I don't think I'm alone.

if Buster has deligated the job to someone else I'm sure we all suspect who that person is likely to be if it is that person they have two options shape up or ship out and as far as I'm concerned I hope it's the latter ASAP

So there is an 'apparent' space to sign a young foreign rider as the teams number 8, who can replace any of the top 5 if they are not available through out the season. Lakeside have just filled this void with Dennis Jonsson (son of Per), wouldn't be suprised if we go for young German Kai Huckenbeck who was over here this week practicing at Kings Lynn with Robert Lambert, he's fairly handy from what I have seen of him in the Pairs and SEC over the last 2 seasons.

Huckenbeck would be a very sharp number 8 signing for someone if he has UK based kit. I think him and Karger Jnr will be quite sought after.
