therefused
I couldn't care less about winning the league, or winning every week as long as we're competitive. If we have barker we won't be competitive.

Theboss
Time to stop the play acting and get behind whatever team turns out for the stars this year, if you are a win only follower then you may need to find something else to do on a Thursday night. If like myself you are fan of the sport you will be there each week whether its is the Elite League or National League whether we are top or bottom of the league. A very strange way to encourage other forum members to come and support their team. Personally I would prefer to say something along the lines of: 'It would be really disappointing if King's Lynn did not line up a new number one for the start of the season and we had to settle for another second string rider to complete the team. However, I am sure the promotion have tried their hardest and I for one will at least give it a go supporting the Elite League underdogs, who will hopefully spring a surprise on some of the more fancied teams!'. I truly hope Axeman does not have any official connection with the club, because if he does, he is not doing them any favours at all!

With 4 weeks to the Ben Fund meeting I guess there is no immediate rush to sign a rider - the way things are shaping up we will need a guest or two for the Wroclaw challenge meeting or it will be so one sided . Really don't get why the club has got things so wrong this winter .
Reviresco
And does the Club itself really know why they changed race-night from Wednesday to Thursday? It was mooted that it was to assist with bringing in a top-line rider - which hasn't yet happened. Or is it as a prelude to Thursday being a 'fixed race-night' for the EL in 2017? (Thursday, when 3 x PL clubs currently have their race-nights.) All it seems to have achieved is to lose out on a top Tier 1 Reserve in Lewi Kerr and to lose out on some support from Suffolk who will now get their 'EL fix' at Lakeside on Friday rather than at the Adrian Flux on Wednesday. Whatever the reason for a change in race night, the decision in my opinion has been made prematurely and has not given the fans enough time to prepare for it. For example Mimmo faces a dilemma this season where as if the decision had been announced at the end of this season to come into effect in March 2017, he would be able to ensure he was available for Thursday night racing... plus we would not have lost Lewis Kerr.
speedy17
Plot twist... Iversen rides at #1 for meeting against Worclaw, only for after the meeting we announce we've signed Janowski (been riding for Wroclaw during the meeting) everybody happy. Anyway I'm off to collect some Rocking Horse Faeces.

Star Lady
I admit to being a fan of Barker, always have been but admit he is not a no 1 or 2 or even 3 but if it is to be Barker it may only be for 4 matches. As Haza never ceases to tell us Rory hasn't put a leg over a bike yet since his injury, I'd be more worried about that. We are well under the points limit BUT as I understand it after 4 matches all riders will gain new averages. That probably means a shed load of changes throughout the league so the team that starts the season will probably look very different by the end of May. The team that tops the league in May is not always the team that wins the league. That's as positive a spin as I can put on it I think the Swindon and Coventry fans might be slightly envious of us anyway, we have a team (hopefully) and more importantly we have a stadium. Now all we need is the promotion to actually acknowledge that the fans need to be kept informed. How much is admission in 2016? anyone know yet

Maybe circumstances have hindered the club in a search for a no 1 but keep the fans updated . Edited February 12, 2016 by Haza

Haza
Could be make your mind up time for the club regarding Barker with Dakota North pulling out at Swindon I'd guess Barker would be ideal replacement for the Robins - can but hope Swindon gets Barker signed up quick .
