semion
I wonder what Buster meant when he said IF and when Lynn have a number one. Does this mean he is going to run without one ?
Pinny
I get the feeling Iversen is feeling a little guilty about leaving it so late to make a decision now, hence his comments about willing to come and help KL if required. Still, a club like Lynn should of been able to attract a big name in his place. Iversen wouldnt of came cheap, he was probably the most expensive rider in the league last season so using the available funds from him towards another capable number one would of been an option surely, considering how crap the rest of the line up is? Cant tell me someone like Lindback, vaculik, hampel, larsen, piotr pawlicki etc would cost more than iversen. None would match his scoring power but settling for ben barker, a probable 5.5 rider if he does well, is a pathetic attitude. That side will be rock bottom near enough and the promotion only have themselves to blame. Lamberts improving but will probably end up number 1, will he cope with that? Korneliussen is one of my favorites but is a journeyman, albeit 100 percent racer and tryer, but often goes missing. Add to that scheiln returning from a broken back , and it doesnt bode well. Espiecially when you look at the reserves.
5 FURROW
Bjerre does read forums, he really cares about what the paying public think of his performances.Well he certainly didn't care last year about the paying public
Bagpuss
Trouble is you can't physically drag a rider over here to ride if they don't want to. And if any are even half interested they know they can name their price as Lynn are desperate. Also as none of those names Pinny mentioned live over here there is the cost of flights ina & out to consider , and I would expect a fair chunk of Puk's deal was sponsorship built up over his time at Lynn which would probably be unavailable for a new rider.. While the promotion deserve criticism for the Kerr debacle I do have a bit of sympathy over the Iversen situation as there just aren't enough decent riders prepared to take on the UK's schedule.

waiheke1
If it is barker, still think kl have a comparable side to wolves and bees, so maybe still a sniff of scraping top four.
Haza
If it is barker, still think kl have a comparable side to wolves and bees, so maybe still a sniff of scraping top four. not a chance - if it's Ben Barker . This team needs a no1 not a PL rider who's never made it in the EL .
semion
If it's a Barker type rider then would have thought it would have been announced by now, unless they are waiting on a big hitter to decide if he can fit us in

I do like Ben but if it is him, KL will be much weaker that the Bees with a KK/Harris spearhead IMO.

Haza
Cometh the hour, Cometh the Mads. to even start the season 2.50 points under the max limit is a massive disadvantage also without no true no1 to win the big races pressure is on everyone to perform in every meeting with Barker as the final rider as now seems likley we struggle to win at home let alone away .
starpete
Give Bjerre a break, having a team mate suffer a serious back injury, witnessing another almost die and having his brother suffer a serious leg injury probably affected his head a little, easy to slate a rider when they have a tough time,
speedy17
If it is Ben Barker, which it will be, is it really that relevant now? Put it this way, half way through the season when we're mid table-bottom, and we get an injury to one of the riders on 6-7 point average, which by the going in recent years is highly likely, OR one of those riders is not performing, there will be enough points to bring Iversen in for one of them, thus changing the look of the team pretty drastically. It's what Swindon done with Darcy Ward last year but as they were already close to the limit had to ship someone else out as well, Kings Lynn might not have that problem. And it'd probably be enough to push for a play-off place IF we aren't too far cut adrift. Edited February 11, 2016 by speedy17
Shale Searcher
If it's a Barker type rider then would have thought it would have been announced by now, unless they are waiting on a big hitter to decide if he can fit us in And that sums British Speedway up completely... Waiting on a "big hitter" to decide if he can fit us in... Well, that's it, isn't it.. fit us in, fly in, ride, fly out. No interaction with fans, no loyalty to club/area/fans, will not be available for any supporters club events, and if he gets a broken fingernail, he'll cry off sick for his UK club meetings. Is that what we really want?? well, probably not, but other options are bleak, and there's no UK based riders good enough, that want to race UK speedway either!! Axeman
Time to stop the play acting and get behind whatever team turns out for the stars this year, if you are a win only follower then you may need to find something else to do on a Thursday night. If like myself you are fan of the sport you will be there each week whether its is the Elite League or National League whether we are top or bottom of the league.

I hope you're not a member of the promotion because telling people to go do something else if they don't like is exactly the reason why speedway has sunk so low. 1000's have made that choice and they're not coming back. Don't care what's said, if the team doesn't perform, fans will leave and not come back. Currently, the situation at King's Lynn looks shocking. Repeating that last season under Wagstaff

Repeating that last season under Wagstaff I have my suspicions also who Axeman really is . If Barker is the final rider this team is poor at best - I've always said the promotion has never let us the fans down well that's how I feel let down .
