King's Lynn 2016

Recommended Posts

Poole club owner Matt Ford has admitted that he doesn't know a great deal about Lee Smart, one of the two 'Fast Track' riders that the Pirates selected in the top league allocation of reserves at Rugby on Tuesday. "I'll be perfectly honest and admit that at this stage I don't know a great deal about him"

He didn't last long either and as the 2nd reserve he knew his position wasn't that important especially when you have Kyle Newman as the other reserve.

The proof will be in the pudding. Lets not right the poor lad off before he even starts, if he turns out to have a bright future then happy days. Think back to some of the unknown young Aussies that made their mark at Lynn and of course Robert Lambert :t:

Misguided optimism.

There latest tweet suggests otherwise

The Stars will start the season with:

Niels Iversen

Robert Lambert

Rory Schlein

Mads Korneliussen

Kai Huckenbeck

Carl Wilkinson

Lewis Rose

I'm afraid that looks a shockingly poor team and if/when they replace PUK with Batch - it will be even worse. A season of struggle unless they strengthen.

Looking at that lot, i would be suprised if they didn't .

Yes but by the end of april he will have an official average. He will be dropped if he isn't good enough and the team changed.Average manipulation isn't new, i should know!!

No comment lol

Thought the BSPA changed the rules a few seasons ago so you could only replace like with like.

Hope buster ain't got that one dropped to suit his own team!

We had enough of a certain team doing that didn't we?

Why? If Batchelor fits within the 40.5 limit when he is fully fit then there is no issue.

He doesn't fit with NKI in now so it's unlikely he will in a month or two.

No way should any team drop an assessed foreigner on a low average with an heat leader standard rider.

It's just wrong. IMHO

Surely you can build up to the points limit, so if Lynn's team average dropped they would be able to build back up to it which could mean Troy coming in for someone other than Iversen.

It's moot anyway as Puk won't continue beyond the end of April.

The 2015 Regulations certainly allowed an EL Team to re-declare up to the Team points limit, as long as there were not more than two Riders with averages exceeding 7.00, and a Team with a combined Match Average above the Team points limit could re-declare as long as the replacement Rider had an Average equal to or below the replaced Rider's average.

Think between all 7 riders they will have to drop less than .3 to fit in Batchelor. Kings Lynn are way under the limit so are fully entitled to replace any top 5 rider who is in poor form if they keep within the limit. Are you actually suggesting clubs are not allowed to build to the limit? It only has to be like for like if they are over the team limit. Wouldnt be surprise if other clubs made a similar move if they have a poor start as most are quite below the limit. Edited by woz01

The whole problem is Iversen doesnt want to ride here for a season so i expect they are hoping someone will be willing to ride when he stops, at least it gives them time to continue their search. Iversen may feel he let them down a bit so thats why he's helping out short term and and he could still come back late season if things don't work out elsewhere.

A few teams dont have a proper number one so its not a disaster making do mid season but i dont think Huckenbeck will last long so could be a season of regular changes
