Wolverhampton 2016

Went to the Coventry v Leicester match on Good Friday and both teams failed to impress really but they both high lighted certain areas that made the scores switch and change the lead through the meeting.

Leicester relied heavily on the reserves of Auty and Starke who finished as their top scorers while Coventry relied heavily on the top three of KK, Bomber and King. If Freddie can rise from the ashes of a poor last season and Bech can get on the form he started last season, Wolves can have a decent top two.

Howarth will be a strong reserve and even when he moves up, Wolves will have a strong number six while Clegg will benefit from riding at Monmore Green each week but starts the season as possibly the least experienced reserve in the league.

Basically Wolves know they will have a strong reserve rider but the question is will they have the heat leaders to match the other teams ? The key members this season are not Masters and Thorssell but Lindgren and Bech being 8 point riders.

Does Lawson, Kennett & Clegg's unavailability next Friday - they are at : Edinburgh v Glasgow & Plymouth v Rye House really lead to a scheduled Elite League meeting NOT taking place?

What a shambles!

Why bother publishing fixtures!

It beggars belief if that is the case.. why arrange it for that date in the first place?

I come back to my usual rant. One of speedway biggest issues is fixtures. Theres no pattern to them and they're called off and re-arranged all the time on a whim. No wonder nobody goes, nobody knows WHEN to go!

iv'e lost interest all ready with all the cancelled matches by the time wolves get on track all the other teams will be to sharp for them with matches under there belt to wolves 1 match what a joke know wonder supporters stop going and find some thing else to do .

No doubt CVS will be happy to have weekly speedway at the Green however he needs to hope that Wolves fans still have interest after having to wait so long so a home match.

No doubt Cradley will have another home match tomorrow. :nono:

Anyone would think that CVS isn't particularly interested in Wolves anymore and is perfectly happy hopping into bed with his beloved Spoons wouldn't they?

"A spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down"

CVS wont mind whatever the medicine is each week,as long as it pays Ladbrokes rent.

It was agreed by the respective promoters to postpone after Plymouth were saved. While the future of The Devils was in doubt, Edward Kennett could have represented Lakeside on Friday, but he now is contracted to ride for Rye House.

I believe the promoters are making a genuine attempt to minimise guests this year, and the rescheduling of this meeting is part of that effort.........I guess you can't please all the people all the time :/

But wasn't the fixture list produced before Plymouth said they wouldn't be competing in the PL.So these fixtures were already in place when Plymouth were declared as racing this season. So no excuse really.
