magnificentseven
Ok.but has Thorsell produced anything yet...has he increased his average and/or has he improved as a rider.unless I'm mistaken ,from my memory his average hasn't changed much over last couple of seasons and if anything seemed off the pace last season and very poor away. Now given the choice i would choose PK because he should and would increase his average, excellent master and his experience is invaluable.I feel he should be in this 2016 team especially in a weakened league and that is not down to loyalty I read on Twitter that this week has the Wolves track review in the Speedway Comic - sorry Star - I don't buy it anymore as the content has declined in recent years and much of the news appears quicker on the net. Apparently the report talks about Thorsell being much improved in his away form and then shows his away average at something like 4.80. Wow that's some improvement. Just underlines how much he has stood still and why PK would have been a much better option. Wolfie

outofdarkness
I would love PK at Swindon as a 2nd string if one of our signings falls through. Lets be honest about it.....who wouldn't on his average. No brainer and less of a risk than many other potential 2nd strings, even at his young age I read on Twitter that this week has the Wolves track review in the Speedway Comic - sorry Star - I don't buy it anymore as the content has declined in recent years and much of the news appears quicker on the net. Wolfie Really...thats a shocking away form.Lets hope he improves massively, if not management need to make changes quick before its late.its about time cvs and adams showed a bit of ruthlessness when things aren't working out and act. However for all of us Wolves fans lets hope we just have a good solid year and reach the playoffs. stevebrum
Never a truer word said in jest I am sure we will see him here but for who and when ? . For Wolves if and when he might be needed. He has already said as much according to CVS, plus he isn't keen on a full season. Probably would suit him well being called up mid season if we need him. T.N.T.
I read on Twitter that this week has the Wolves track review in the Speedway Comic - Apparently the report talks about Thorsell being much improved in his away form and then shows his away average at something like 4.80. Wow that's some improvement. Just underlines how much he has stood still and why PK would have been a much better option. Wolfie When you look at the statistics it makes it a weird choice to keep Jacob on 6.18 instead of Ricky 5.91 HOME AVGE; Jacob 6.62 (7.15) = Ricky 7.53 (8.20) AWAY AVGE: Jacob 4.63 (4.83) = Ricky 4.76 (5.14) 2015 AVGE: Jacob 5.61 (5.97) = Ricky 6.11 (6.63) I like Jacob but think a year away from Monmore Green would have suited him more than Ricky especially when you consider that his 20 match rolling average of 5.91 included 13 matches riding as a heat leader while Jacob who finished the season well (as a second string) will have those higher scores on his rolling average for a while making his average look better than it actually is. Have to say that I am not sure about Sam Masters being signed for a number of reasons. Frstly I am not that keen on having doubling up riders, especially when they could miss meetings unlike Ricky Wells (club asset) or Kyle Howarth (Swindon asset) and secondly I don't think he is anything special or likely to improve much. We signed Theo Pjiper on the back of a good performance in the Olympique and while we tried to sign him before, I hope he hasn't been signed on the back of a few good appearances. While I agree that I think it is time to let PK wind down his career and amount of fixtures, I think PK would have been as good as Masters is likely to be but personally I would have liked to have seen who else was available and the last two places I would have liked to have seen Ricky Wells and ? Would Joel Andersson have been such a risk ? ...... but I would have liked to have seen maybe Dakota North 5.91 who has been left out of the Poole line up or Josh Grajczonek 6.00 who has been left out of the Belle Vue line up and as both are assets of Poole they would not miss meetings if they were doubling up in 2016. Both have been impressive at Monmore Green and both done very good jobs as second strings and had meetings as heat leaders. After some good performances for Kings Lynn last year and some very good appearances as a guest at Monmore Green, I would have liked to have seen Ashley Morris given another spell in the team as the number seven and as a club asset I presume he wouldn't miss any meetings had he secured a PL berth but at present is only looking at possibly riding alongside Clegg as the Heathans heat leaders at Monmore Green. 1 - Fredrik Lindgren 6.11 2 - Wells or North 5.91 3 - Mikkel Bech 6.16 4 - North or Grajczonek 5.91 / 6.00 5 - Jonas Kylmakorpi 6.80 6 - Kyle Howarth 5.53 7 - Ashley Morris 3.00 Just my opinion but whoever signed and dons the Old Gold n Black will be supported and hope this year they have a better line up than recent years when the play offs were just dreams and meant a few weeks off at Monmore Edited December 5, 2015 by T.N.T.
EnglishRoundabout
I would love PK at Swindon as a 2nd string if one of our signings falls through.Karlsson has never really done anything at Blunsdon though coombers. I do recall him fending Leigh Adams off once, with the great Aussie snapping at his rear wheel for all 4 laps. That said, PK oozes class and like Adams, has a lovely 'armchair' style to his riding. He'd be an asset to any EL side.

Good around Swindon in his prime but very much erratic in his later years....still though same can be said about Freddie i guess...and tbf both are worth a shot to most sides on there averages (yes i know FL is at Wolves again before any jump on it just an example)
Steve0
TNT - Kyle is not an asset of Swindon - I believe it's Workington but I may be wrong but it's definitely a PL club.

stevebrum
Masters not special or likely to improve? He's the best signing you've made this winter. As for comparing him to Pijper, nah, different class. Got to agree, whilst I was initially hoping for a wow signing I'm delighted that Masters has signed. For me the most underrated signing so far. He could make a huge break thru and he showed at the GP that he can mix it with the best.

I was always impressed with Masters last season at Leicester, he only struggled slightly when he returned from breaking his hand, but i'm sure he can add a point to his starting average. I only wish he was back at Leicester next season.
