Cj69
For you Wolves fans who might not have seen Masters little interview on the Edin site. http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news/article.asp?id=2271
Tommy Sweetman
Not suprised weve ended up with these two. Gobsmacked by the audacity that CVS said we would be gobsmacked. Do i believe anything that CVS and Adams says and does. Er,no******************

beckettlion
Would you like the wooden spoon now, or are the fans as deluded as whoever assembled this lot? Wouldn't worry about the wooden spoon at anywhere but Leicester unless we can really pull something out of the bag. You may all be underwhelmed by the Masters signing, but I can assure you he's a quality, committed rider and I know the Lions fans are (or at least should be) gutted he won't be with us next year

They were promised "gobsmacked" and they have got "meh, ok". But "meh, ok" when their 3 heat leaders are "eugh, well we need something special now!" Still, it does mean of the two completed teams I'd give Coventry a very slight edge. Joy of joys!
pubichair
I think wolves have a decent team tbh if Freddie can get back to how he was and if bech can be more consistent I think you could make play offs

For what it's worth, I'm pretty gobsmacked... I assumed a quality rider, that actually wanted to ride for Leicester (there's not many people that actually want to do that!) wasn't signed up in the blink of an eye by the Lions! But yeah, I'll agree with you that Cov probably slightly edge the teams, despite their reserves

stevebrum
Not exactly the 'gobsmacking' news da management promised at the talk-in. Hope the season ticket day was a success. Agree, not gobsmacked by the news, that said the team has potential and is a step forward on 2015. Would you like the wooden spoon now, or are the fans as deluded as whoever assembled this lot? It could be worse, we could have a dreadful side like Coventry. It's not about Masters himself being a good signing or not. They were promised "gobsmacked" and they have got "meh, ok". But "meh, ok" when their 3 heat leaders are "eugh, well we need something special now!" Still, it does mean of the two completed teams I'd give Coventry a very slight edge. Joy of joys! Keep telling yourself that Coventry have the edge. You have to hope that Leicester and Kings Lynn stop you getting the wooden spoon. The joys! only if the other teams are rubbish. id say poole aces and swindon will definitely be stronger. coventry look slightly stronger, KL it's too early to tell. still ,a couple of early season home wins and stevebrum will be shouting the champion potential from the roof tops for all of two weeks... Not strong on paper but potential all the way thru, Joonas exempt. Good to see you crowing after one good season in a blue moon.
EnglishRoundabout
Wolves looking solid I reckon. Especially at Monmore. I don't see them as title winners, but in with a shout of a play off position. As previously stated by others, much depends on Lindgren. Sadly, he doesn't appear to be the ruthless Freddie of old, but good to see him back in the EL.
magnificentseven
Sam Masters and Jacob Thorssell complete the side Has to be the last chance saloon for Thorssell - he needs to improve his away form. Masters is a decent prospect if he lives up to expectations. Personally I would have preferred PK to one of them as I think he still has the potential to score more points than either of them. Wolfie So you'd have preferred a veteran who isn't really fussed whether he rides in UK this year as opposed to two exciting young riders who are desperate to improve? I'd have preferred PK to Jacob personally. That's only because I think my Peter would be better value. That said I'm all about giving youth a chance so it looks like a make or break year for Jacob. magnificentseven
So you'd have preferred a veteran who isn't really fussed whether he rides in UK this year as opposed to two exciting young riders who are desperate to improve? I like the idea of Masters being in the team but having watched Thorssell away from home for the last 3 years I am less than impressed with his re signing. Despite him being young and keen I can't see Thorsell improving on his starting average, whereas I think PK would have been a bargain on his average as he has the potential to improve that. Teams who are successful usually have riders who have the ability to inprove their starting averages - its hard to see anyone in the riders named who is going to do that. MrMungo
I don't think the side looks too bad at all - I wouldn't expect to see them in the play-offs, but think they will fare better than this year. As a rough guess, 6th or so, but still too early to tell of course. They are banking on Lindgren getting back to his best, or close to it. Whilst he won't be unbeatable anymore, he can still increase his average significantly. Bech down to Masters (2nd to 5th) will probably all spend some time in the HL & SS positions. Potentially one of them may have a run at reserve too. I can see marginal improvements for Bech & Masters, although it will depend on how long they spend in the HL/SS positions. The biggest plus is they should have a high-scoring reserve for the whole season, which is not something they had this year.
Woz01
Howarth was poor when he signed for the Bees towards the end of the season, even struggled against FTR riders.
TheSmiler
I can't see the doom and gloom here personally. Yes the heat leaders are weak, but Lindgren has proved time and time again he can be an out and out number 1. One bad season doesn't suddenly make a rider dreadful. I agree, he's on the slide but not as drastic as last season implied. Bech and Kylmakorpi are marmite riders, so I'm unsure on how to comment. Bech came onto the scene as an exciting prospect but never really delivered and I don't think Kylmakorpi can improve any more, so to have those as back up is weak. The second strings will be fine which leads me on to Kyle Howarth (who was dreadful for the Bees last season end), who should benefit massively from his 4 meetings at reserve. So Wolves will probably have one of Thorssell and Masters swapping with Howarth all season. I'd love to say the Bees have something like that but unfortunately our reserves will be hammered every match. I personally would put Wolves above Coventry but both will probably be around the bottom two fighting with each other. Can't see Coventry doing much with 4 reserves and a weak 3rd heat leader.
