Wolverhampton 2016

Bank Holidays the Greyhound meetings are finished by 2.30 so a National League fixture could be run at 4pm and finished by 6pm ready for the Elite League fixture to open at 6.30PM with a 7.30 start.

That would take care of 4 or 5 fixtures and maybe worth selling tickets for both meetings at £25 ?

Imagine if a random turns up expecting to see Cradley and wolves are riding

With just 11 quid in their pocket!!

Difference is Cradley have never been a Monday or every Monday team at wolves. So I see your logic but more referring to someone who hasn't been in years who shows up randomly.

you could also run alternate heats one heat EL one heat NL :icon_smile_clown:

That's the current EL format for the first three heats!

Of course Tuesdays will be available (on occasions) and you will find the British Final elsewhere in 2016. Van Straaten will do right by Wolverhampton and Cradley will have to slot in around the main tenants - simple. Their Golden Hammer will probably be in SWC week when Wolves don't run. There's no way CVS and Ladbrokes would have agreed to this if it wasn't possible so where's the problem?

Haven't read anywhere in the official statement issued that Tuesdays are a regular option. If they are why couldn't Cradley be accommodated on Tuesdays as they were previously

That would make sense.

If Cradley get a rain off just rearrange for a following Tuesday the day after a Wolves match

If Wolves get a rain-off rearrange for a Cradley Monday and push that week's Cradley match back to the Tuesday

Providing the opposition are in agreement , and not have riders missing, because they're racing in Sweden...

Which National League riders race in Sweden???

None I imagine, but there're quiet a few from the BEL

Ladbrokes dont want regular Tuesday meetings. But think they can accomadate the odd one.

Wolverhampton Speedway needs Ladbrokes more than Ladbrokes need Wolverhampton speedway.

The rent Wolves pay for the use of Monmore is only pocket money to what Ladbrokes recieve from online betting(particualy Asia)Monmore is one the BAGS(Boookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Service)tracks that streams around the world via the SIS streaming platform.

So greyhounds would survive in Wolverhampton, regardless of how many punters came through the door.

Wolves speedway just add to the income. But Ladbrokes would survive without them.

Every team has to stipulate its 'rain-off' night - its often within the club details section on their respective websites.

In Wolverhampton's case its listed as Wednesdays!!!!

Something will have to give With the season starting on 28 March and assuming the play offs start as last year on September 18th this leaves 25 Monday nights for Wolves to fit in 14 League meetings using alternative weeks. As you can see even without rain offs this is impossible .

Tuesday isn't the usual alternative race day for Wolves and could be an issue with the Swedish league.

Cradley are the team that need to be moved to Tuesdays for any rain offs or fixture clashes.

It would be pathetic if wolves struggle to fit in fixtures to complete the league programme and let Cradley keep there scheduled fixtures.

i cant believe lindgren has been signed after last year, whos next pk, another whos well past his best

Who else realistically was there available to sign as a number one?

If PK is not on the heat leader list his signing is a no brainer on a 5 and a half point average.

Wolves fans delighted at getting a new signing - 'Fast' Freddie!!!

Name me one person who says they are delighted?

It's good he is back on such a low average.

However I'd be much happier if a decent number one was signed first.

It's not going to happen I guess.
