stevebrum
What about the 'at least one Brit as a second string' rule if confirmed?! Where was that mentioned?
SCB
What about the 'at least one Brit as a second string' rule if confirmed?! Well if they have Woffy, he didn't ride EL last year so can't be be a draft rider? He's younger than some of them!!
SteveLyric2
Where was that mentioned? In the reports that came out from the 2014 BSPA AGM - at the same time as it was suggested that PL promoters 'might' agree to consider introducing a 'fast track' system of sorts themselves. We all know the PL won't adopt it they too stubborn. For the sake of British Speedway I hope they do get involved tho. And yes, the likes of Newman, Garrity should be in the starting 1-5, along with the likes of barker, r Worrall.

And yes, the likes of Newman, Garrity should be in the starting 1-5, along with the likes of barker, r Worrall. I don't see why they SHOULD be starting in the 1-5. I'd prefer they go back to a 40ish point point limit, but you have to include 2 draft riders. If that means Garritys converted average is 5 and that puts him 5th in the Bees average he starts in the 1-5, but if his 5 point average puts him 6th he starts in reserve but could very well find himself in the 1-5 after the first set of averages. There were no rules in the past that said who couldn't ride in reserve, so why now? By allowing riders to ride in any position we have in effect given them two years to see whats it's about, to see how far they are off the big boys but now we're in effect setting them free. Have a year of that before bringing in a rule that says you have to have 3 draft riders. Then you will hopefully be able to start looking at a Poland style rule of both reserve being GB under 21s and 2 of your 1-5 have to be British. There should be some plan, it doesn't have to be rigidly stuck to but there should at least be some idea of what might/could happen. My worry at the moment is we have a great youth series, have done for a while now. We're also working with the youngsters to get them into the EL. But what are we doing in the middle? We have MDL and NL but then all help stops until they are EL ready. The PL HAS to do something too. Not really Wolves related sorry!
Ghostwalker
Wolverhampton seems to be interested in Swedish talent Joel Andersson who is a team mate with Freddie in Indianerna in Sweden. http://na.se/sporten/speedway/1.3156582-indiantalangen-proffsaktuell

Lefty
Normally Wolves bring a couple of 'unknowns' over for the end of season Olmpique meeting. If they are any good then Poole snap them up!

INCOGNITO
yes there are big rumours that tai will If Britain goes to one night a week and just a dozen matches or so Tai could return to Britain but it will be at Monmore Green with Wolves. To have an Elite League there needs to be at least 8 teams or an increase in standard of riders and it is unlikely there will be all 8 returning next season so the look is making it more quality but less meetings

Sadly the limit will continue to be watered down. Time for the PL to take their necks out the sand. Hearing Tai is attracting interest from Poole. Of course Poole would be interested in Tai. He is the World's best rider. No truth in the rumour.

magnificentseven
Hearing Tai is attracting interest from Poole. Personally I can't see him being back either for Wolves or Poole. Again personally Poole would be welcome to him if she shows the same lack of commitment as he did for Wolves in 2014 - the odds are that the Poole management wouldn't be as patient with him as Wolves were if that was the case. stevebrum
http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.2378 I see Wolves have cancelled the end of season presentation night. Makes worrying reading.
R87
Be interesting to see if they have a talk in during the winter. They know they have a lot to answer for, but the cynic in me suggests that's not the real reason for cancelling.

New Science
http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.2378 I see Wolves have cancelled the end of season presentation night. Makes worrying reading. For "its not a time to party" read " we haven't sold enough tickets to make it viable".Wolves have finished bottom of the league before and still had a presentation evening .The presentation evening in the last few years has gone from a 4 course meal at a top hotel to chicken in a basket at the stadium,With the fan base shrinking year on year no surprise the end of season night has gone belly up.
