I have been reading all the comments that everyone has to say about the 2016 squad but until anyone is signed all we can do is speculate. So far Kyle hopefully will progress and improve, young Gleggy is a punt he may surprise us on occations but fear he will struggle in general. As for Jonas he's a pretty steady performer and will hold his own .I assume as we all do that Freddie will sign next and i hope we give PK another season as i believe he again will hold his own and along with Freddie his track knowledge is invaluable.

My only worry is who we are going to sign as a number 1.If most of the GP riders are opting out of the Elite who exactly are the candidates.Maybe someone with more knowledgeable than myself like BWitcher, Wolfsbane,Stevebrum etc may compile a list of possibilities please.

Hopefully out of last years darkness we will see the light in 2016 and compete for the title ,UP THE WOLVES

we also have a triple world champion on the books but that doesn't mean he'll ride for us.

can't force a rider to race here whether he's an asset or not.

keep seeing PK mentioned a lot.

would you still have him if he is one of the names on this heat leader list ?

I wouldn't

The only reason id have PK rather than Wells is for sentimental reasons.

Unfortunately, sentiment doesnt win you titles.

I think PK should be included in preference to Wells because he will improve his starting average - 5.51 - by more than Wells - 5.91 - will.

Wolfie

but PK could be on the heat leader list.

if they both can be signed as a second string I'd sway towards PK mainly as his form at the start of the season at second string was great, he offers more on away tracks than the others did. but if it's him in the heat leader role I'd look elsewhere

howarth is on a 5.5 average surely?

if u get a decent number 1 you might have a reasonable team. but surely freddie pk and joonas will all be ckassed as hl?

Peter Karlsson 5.51 will not be on the heat leader list of the top 24 riders unlike Kenneth Bjerre which means Schlein 6.24 could be available but Wolves need a rider like Doyle 9.44 Zengota 7.79 or Harris 7.34 to get close to the limit. PK will be looking at a new track and will no doubt come back to haunt us in the future

As for Howarth I agree it would be right for him to start on his Elite League average but the official wording is ALL Tier 1 riders will start on an assessed average from their Premier League averages

So Peter Karlsson who has spent 99% of the last 20 years as a heat leader, attained all of his average as a heat leader, is not a heat leader? If he's not it makes a mockery of the heat leader list.

He started 2015 as a second string and in that time averaged around 8.5 but he then moved up and finished at just 5.51 which shows he struggled

His second string meetings are irrelevant. His 20 meeting rolling average was attained riding as a heat leader, not a second string. He's a heat leader.

Otherwise Bjerre and Andersen who rode a handful of meetings as a second string are not on the heat leader list.

SCB is not complaining, he's stating a fact that the heat leader list should be based on number of meetings ridden in 2015 as a heat leader, not on average attained. If it is done based on average attained it makes the concept of having a list a nonsense, as the whole point of it should be to restrict the number of riders a team can have who have artificially low averages due to the heat format. Otherwise you could put together a team of Holder Nicholls Andersen Bjerre PK Newman Barker for example and be under the points limit.

So, the likes of North, Bjerre, Andersen, Pk who ended FY15 with very modest averages should be on the list. Someone like Zengota should not be, even though he averaged a couple of points more than PK..

to answer your question, SCB is very fair, he'd be the first to say it's a nonsense if a Coventry rider ends up mis-classified.

Will you be complaining if he joins Coventry ?

If Coventry sign PK along with 3 other riders who have raced 15 or more meetings as a heat leader then yes I'll say it's wrong.

Believe it or not I'm capable of looking at the bigger picture.
