mdmc82
Love the fact British speedway is now good enough for Tai now his other teams haven't made the play offs. I wonder if he would be returning if Wolves if they weren't in a play off place 😉
stevebrum
In 1 weeks time his Swedish season is over. In 2 weeks time his Polish season is over. Both teams failed to reach play offs. He had 6 GPs left. Well 5 after saturday and no league racing. So came begging but wolves wasn't his preferred choice. But fair play wolves if they sign him. They will now be favourites so of we (belle vue) do win play offs it will make the win more sweeter Of course it's his preferred choice. SUPERACE
Surely its a no brainer for wolves to bring woffy in? It would of been a disgrace if he had gone to poole for the play offs, but no issue with wolves seeing as hes a club asset.

Pinny
Would hope Wolves have slung a load of cash at him to come back, good on both parties if so. On the other hand, if tai has realised his schedule is almost empty and has came crawling back..... Oh dear Wolves for the title if he does return though either way
mikebv
Kylmakorpi @WolvesSpeedway making changes in the team and unfortunately I'm not going to end the season with the team. I take it this means Tai is willing to come now he knows Wolves on in the play offs. JK's announcement appearing on page "108" of the thread!!! Spooky!!!!! MOTWYW.....!!!! Perton Wolf
It's confirmed - Tai is back. This is from his official site: 'Press & News WOFFINDEN A WOLF AGAIN! TAI Woffinden has answered a surprise birthday call from his British club Wolverhampton and is on his way back to British racing for the rest of the season! The reigning world champion celebrated his 26th birthday on Wednesday and was pleased to answer the phone to Chris Van Straaten, the man who took him into British Elite League racing in 2009. He will make an emotional return to Monmore Green for their vital clash with Lakeside on Monday week, August 22. Said Woffinden: Im in Sweden right now and it was nice of Chris to call me and wish me happy birthday but he then asked if Id be interested in going back there to help their title push for the rest of the season. Theyve had a good season so far, Ive still been following their results, and if I was going to ride again in Britain then it was always going to be for my parent club. I cant think of anybody better to ride for Chris and Pete Adams are my mates and Im pleased to go back there to try and help us win a gold medal. This is a good opportunity for me and Im really hoping its a move which will benefit both Wolverhampton and myself. Ill be giving it everything Ive got to try and help us win the league, weve got some important meetings coming up and Im looking forward to it. Wolverhampton team boss Peter Adams, who worked alongside Woffinden for three years on the Grand Prix circuit, said: This is an opportunity we simply had to take and personally Im looking forward to working with Tai again. I will say, however, that the signing of Tai still doesnt guarantee us the title. We have to work hard as a team but to have the opportunity to bring in the world champion is something we cannot refuse. We hope Tai can play his part in getting us over the line. Weve had a tremendous season so far and hopefully this will spur us on for the last push and the play-offs. I believe this is a move which any other club in the league would have made had it been possible, we are pleased to make it happen and we welcome Tai back. It's confirmed - Tai is back. mdmc82
Great news for Wolves and should really help them in the play offs. Shame Tai is only willing to ride for them though when he has nothing else to do. Would he have come back if they weren't already in the Play offs? if rumours are true that have been flying round for weeks, credit to the manager of Tai's first choice PO team for telling him he was sticking with the line up he already had. 👍🏻 Edited August 11, 2016 by mdmc82

FAST GATER
It has to be good news for the sport that the w/champ is back( even if it is the last 1/3 of the season) I wonder if he will be paired with PK his new GP mentor ,it would be a great if PK was able to end his EL career with the team winning the title . He would be then able to return to semi retirement in his homeland and if anyone desrves to go out on such a high it is this great example of how a s/way rider should conduct himself within the sport ,really think Wolves have a great chance now . No. He was after a spot with us. But signed for wolves anyway a few week ago. So to say that he only got call yesterday is a lie
mdmc82
Ok, and that was? A Manchester play off team. Good on Lemon though for sticking with the 7 riders who have got his team this far
thecoombdog
Obviously a very good signing for Wolves but surely they will only win the league is Howarth pulls his finger out. If he gets going then Poole might be 3rd fav's with the bookies!!
