We will just have to beg to differ

In other words you can't give any pl clubs that would be affected or any reasons why clubs would how find themselves in any more trouble than they would be now .

I always preferred PL racing but that was purely down to the fact that i watched it week in, week out.

The el should be leading by example though, its broadcast every week on sky and is the top league in the country. Its the main specticle of british speedway and at the moment its an absolute mess.

The lower leagues are hardly thriving either, crowds in pl are way off break even on the whole.

Sadly since poland have been paying big bucks riders no longer class the uk as a priority, poles never have but you go back to 15 years or so ago, all decent foreigners would come and ride in the pl, think it was only holta who never came. Now they dont want to know

No what I am saying is there is a shortage of money within the sport ( I think we all agree on that one) and going to fixed race nights will not address that IMO and will destabilise the sport even more .As to Pl clubs( whose race nights seem suit there purpose but may well be struggling financially as well ) being effected I am under the impression that fixed nights is to help EL teams attract the"names " back to these shores .I am not an EL hater/ PL snob quite the contrary and accept that the sport needs a high level such as the EL but not at the expense of damaging the sport further .I repeat that these riders will ride any day of the week if the money is there as is proved with the GP lads dashing back to Poland on a Sunday afternoon .

First all I ask you what pl clubs would be effected by el clubs having a fixed race nights on Monday or a Wednesday ...I had a check as far as I can see there are none .The biggest problem fans have is riders missing matches having a fixed race nights at El gives more chance of both EL and Pl putting out there full 1 -7 . and at the same time if it brings back a few better riders then all well and good ....not sure how you can destabilise a sport that is nearly dead anyhow in the uk .

Looks like they going to it next year anyhow and to me it can't come soon enough .

As Orion is saying, fixed race nights helps in many ways.

Firstly, it doesn't effect a single Premier League club.

Secondly, it would mean that you wouldn't have riders missing because they were riding for another team in the same country. That helps massively for the Elite League AND also the Premier League. Increased credibility and less guests/RR which is better for fans.

Thirdly, it is cheaper, you're not paying for foreign riders to fly in and out of the country a couple of times a week which can happen now.

Fourthly, many sources, including riders themselves have said they would ride over here if the schedule was fixed. You keep claiming its about the money, partially correct, they would want a lot more money to ride in the current schedule due to the inconvenience it causes.

Don't see how that's right given that they are reportedly looking at Thursday & Friday.

Well, I was assuming the promoters would have a modicum of common sense... which was I accept a little far fetched.

If they run on Thursday and Friday it would be absolutely pointless, one of the most ill conceived ideas in speedway history and that's saying something.

The days should be Monday and Wednesday.

Maybe not then. But as per usual you make a meal of it.

Monday and Wednesday wouldn't be viable either. They'd have to fly to Britain twice in two days which riders won't do and even if they did want to promotions couldn't afford it. Tai has already said riders dont want to do GP Sat, Pol sun, GB Mon and Sweden Tue. Add to that another flight and meeting Wednesday? It should be a single day or consecutive two days. Not making a meal of it but 99% of fans are saying Monday for a race night for a reason, 99% of fans know that sky run elite league meetings on a Monday as the top boys will be there as Sweden and Poland don't race on Mondays. Can't get my head around why you wouldn't know that

Would have to be a Wednesday then.

It would need to be two consecutive days as only once a week wouldn't give enough days to run the amount of fixtures we currently have. If a team dropped out or we only rode each team once then once a week might work.

Also I could foresee Thursday becoming an issue for the GP lads as they would fairly soon come out with the excuse that they don't want Thursday then practice then GP.

Spot on with your first two sentences but I doubt whether you would see many GP riders coming, apart from those that are here anyway. You might get enough to get Kings Lynn and Leicester up to a reasonably competitive level which is something I suppose but I would be surprised if you would get enough to make any significant difference to the overall level of competition. Even non GP riders of the level of Peter Ljung, Jonas Davidsson and Timo Lahti for example are not interested, and certainly not Miedzinski. Plenty of them are interested for a bit of extra cash before the Polish season starts, and if their Polish clubs go out of the play-offs but very few want to commit to a whole season apart from those that are already here.

So it's sounds well worth messing about with fixed race nights

Based on what ? who knows how many would ride again on a fixed race night ...it's impossible to judge ....the main thing is to get riders to miss less meetings, what fans say in there biggest problem at the moment ...if better riders come then it's a bonus .
