Wolverhampton 2016

When you have a team that has 4 heat leaders in Holder, Watt, Andersen and Buczkowski and a second string that is the Australian Champion with two exceptional reserves it is hard to see any other team winning the title.

However reaching the play offs is the target and the rest of the teams have weak areas and most teams will make changes that can change things around. Wolves have built a team of experience and potential that has yet to develop fully in Bech and Thorssell and it is hard to judge exactly how they will do.

The key could be having a top reserve in Howarth or later on possibly Thorssell or Masters. This is going to be a good part for the season but only if the others can do their job or improve especially away from Monmore Green.

Belle Vue are tipped by many to be a strong line up so it will be interesting to see how they get on in the first two meetings of the season.

The Aces have got a solid looking side but a potential lack of practice on the new home circuit, due to the seemingly endless rain up here & getting the track bedded in, must impact on any early doors home advantage we might have hoped to enjoy.

Reckon Pete Adams will be rightly seeing that as an opportunity. Expect this Wolves side to give BV a serious run for their money on Good Friday..

Drawing board or stump up the cash for PK !!!( plan "B" I suspect )

PK wasn't down to the money and more to do with PK taking it easy and doing just Sweden and Poland.

With the following Speedway gets in England and the lack of media interest it's amazing we still have some of the riders we still have riding over here.

They'll have had more time on it than Wolves, though, assuming the opener beats the weather. Surprised Wolves haven't arranged a challenge or two somewhere to get the rust out and hone the partnerships, with such a changed line-up.

So PK did not consider riding for Peterborough this season I stand corrected

Its always down to money, if he had a better offer here than Sweden or Poland he would have dropped one of them! If you think it's anything else, then we really are in bother..

If you think he or any rider gets paid more here than in Sweden or Poland you obviously don't realise why so many are riding there and not here.

A rider can make enough money in one Polish meeting as he would in four meetings here and earning four or more times the amount in one meeting means Britain is the country they are more likely to ditch.

Fixed race nights also help !!

Exactly "money" I am under no illusions there but fixed night will finish speedway in this country mark my words for the future if that happens

Makes sense for wolves fans to support Cradley on a Non Wolves night and for Cradley fans to do likewise. Its not as though the two teams will meet in the same league anytime soon.

Chance for someone to make thouse half and half scarves like they do at a cup final at Wembley.

Many tracks can't change their race nights for various reasons particularly PL tracks which would have to do so to accommodate EL tracks hoping to attract the "big names " back .It has already been said that it's that money is the primary reason for them giving the EL a miss so untold damage could be done to multiple tracks and they would beggar off again once the last drop of money dried up

it makes no sense as they don't like each other ...you would not ask say a Swindon fan to go at watch oxford even if did ride at the same track .

if the race night was a Monday or a Wednesday what pl tracks would it effect ? one the main reasons to have a set race night is to make sure that teams track there own 7 riders etc it's not just about making the standard better. There is zero reasons why it would be the death for any clubs .

We will just have to beg to differ

it makes no sense whatsoever. Different leagues and different supporters. There are plenty of fans that go to as many meetings as they can so will likely float between meetings. They will be the same people that will go to Birmingham too. I know a few Wolves fans that do that and I know some who are neutral that can be found at all available local meetings.

They are very much in the minority.

Wolves hate Cradley and vice versa. There is no logic for the majority of either Wolves or Cradley fans to support the other.

It's happening next season. The sport can't sink much lower than it is in the UK (which affects ALL leagues not just one).

Maybe some current EL teams might want to drop down a league and there may be teams that would consider moving up with the new structure for 2017.

There will always be a top tier of racing - to suggest otherwise is barmy.
