mikebv
Did CVS really say that the PL was "a broken product"? If so, what does that make the EL??? As the song goes "isn't it ironic".....😃
mdmc82
Not sure they are 3 riders I would pick from the heatleader list. Bech had some really off form meetings last year. Joonas was brilliant at Brandon but he wasn't one of our best riders away from home. As for Freddie, what can you say. They are going to need a big signing to back them up. Cupidstunt
Premier League is Broken according to CVS haha. this has come from someone who last night said they have Freddie Lindgren as a heat leader but starting as a 2nd string, they have a reserve in Howarth who for the last couple of years has rode in an EL 1-5 but is now a EDR. they have run a reserve system which quite frankly has been a joke over the last couple of years so he really needs to work out which league is Broken the buffoon
Arson fire
If the premier league is broken its only due to numpties like him abusing lesser riders to keep the EL afloat. They used young fast track reserves as slags on a pittance and spat them out in favour of better, lesser riders such as Garrity, Howarth and even Auty... All because this generation of promoters are killing the sport in this country!! The PL is broken (its not imo) because the EL cant attract ELITE riders.

The reserve system in the EL may well have been an abortion but at least they're trying with young Brits unlike the PL who import foreigners at reserve by choice, that's the point he was making. The British U-21 Champion shouldn't get a helping hand? Really?

As the song goes "isn't it ironic"..... we all know the EL is a state. However British speedway is in a state so ALL leagues are guilty. Joonas was brilliant at Brandon but he wasn't one of our best riders away from home. As for Freddie, what can you say. They are going to need a big signing to back them up. just worry about having 2 dodgy Poles and the weakest reserves in the EL. That should keep you busy. Beowulf
So they've signed Joonas Kylamakorpi, the rider who's spent most of his career at Lakeside abs Eastbourne and who failed to score at Swindon last season for his big track experience? Proof that speedway promoters are out of touch and just say "stuff" to please the fans. I'm only amazed CVS didn't give a Coventry exclusive this year that turned out to be bullrubbish as he has done most others years. Kylamakorpi, however, is a multi world longtrack champion!

SCB
Kylamakorpi, however, is a multi world longtrack champion! And Erik Riss has a World longtrack title but would you be happy to have him as your EL #1? Kylmakorpi in speedway is a small track man, despite his longtrack experience. I am not one for accepting hyperbole, but the management last night did really seem to be promising a good team, evidenced by the fact of not having the usual guard back,so we will see what Klymakorpi's 'responsibility' is when the full team is announced.
g13webb
We have learnt more from the posters who attended the Wolves talk-in last night about the coming season than all the mis-worded statements the BSPA have issued. For those who posted, a BIG ThanK U.

What exactly are you expecting them to pull out of the bag? It's been confirmed that Lindgren, Bech and Kylmakorpi are from the infamous heat leader list.. thus there is no better rider coming in, or they'd be on that list too. There is a rider who'd be brilliant as a second string signing, but we've decided we don't want him. The best we can hope for is something like Masters and Thorssell. Essentially if Lindgren doesn't return to being a 8.5-9pt man we'll be also rans. At least they are trying something different but it doesn't mean it will be any better. Hopefully it will.. but compared to a team like Belle Vue, we look weak.

Not perfect but bigger incentives for the Brits riding in the competition and for the clubs who might sign them?

CVS says we will be 'gobsmacked' when the last 2 places are announced. Maybe let's wait and see if that's the case before we make any decisions. Maybe we are signing Dudek or Vaculik on a 4 point average. I'd be gobsmacked if that happened!
