foreverblue
Safety should always come first. Luckily Holder didn't collect Watt in heat 10 as he looked like he was going to and that was just in a 2 man race 😱 What happened 1st June was no fault of Coventry or Poole, it was down to Sky & GoSpeed. Still dont think it was dangerous im sure harris would have gone out if havvy had let him and i still think coventry losing had a lot to do with havvys stance
Starman2006
Postpone it for 2 weeks, a bit more rain the meeting will be held on Christmas Day, what a shambles as a matter of interest is the other semi final also on Friday next nothing on Swindon website. To call a match off 48 hours before is unheard of certain,y in Charles Ochiltree's days. You got an answer to the problem then ?

Woz01
Tomorrows forecast looks worse than it did yesterday so it seems the right decision. Just gutted now I'm going to miss Englands opening World Cup match!
Game On
Safety should always come first. If safety came first, the meeting wouldn't of started. Edited September 13, 2015 by Game On
mdmc82
Is this still a 7.30pm start? Worked out better for me as I now have friends who can come from Chorley to watch it and stay over. They couldn't before due to school for the kids the next day. mdmc82
Where has it been stated that Newman has been diagnosed with 'concussion'? I have only read he withdrew with dizziness not concussion although still has to be careful if dizzy after knock to head.

If the tracked Doctor has not recorded Concusion then thats the end of that.
mdmc82
Tipical Coventry fan mate. more in hope... I don't think SCB is hoping Newman is injured, neither are most Coventry fans. Wasn't it the Poole fans who laughed when Sarjeant needed an ambulance and some shouted "hope it ends his career" Classy. Luckily unlike you we didn't tarnish them as "typical Poole fans" as not all are the same. Edited September 13, 2015 by mdmc82

Luckily unlike you we didn't tarnish them as "typical Poole fans" as not all are the same. Now that is something NO fan would wish on any rider. SteveLyric2
Have you forgotten what happened on 1st June? Coventry were told even though gale force winds and heavy rain, they couldn't call it off as not 48 hours notice (even though other teams have) so this time Coventry have contacted them due to terrible weather forecasts so that sky/gospeed don't cause that farce again. Belle Vue V Swindon is currently still no tomorrow as forecast is not looking so bad. I guess on this occasion that everyone involved should be grateful that the Bees promotion were contactable on a Saturday morning!! Wasn't that a reason/excuse last time? Wasn't that a reason/excuse last time? The reason last time was the forecast wasn't bad on the Saturday. We have seen other meetings called off at shorter notice than on the morning since then so not sure where the 48 hours comes from. GoSpeed make up the rules as they go along. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Belle Vue V Swindon meeting tomorrow if it rains and they didn't call it off on Sat

As it stood, i would be very suprised if BV Swindon was on.
foreverblue
Belle vue are lucky there in it, original meeting k lynn v leicester was called off after heat 9 and a lot of k lynn fans thought heat 10 should have been run
ouch
They're not usually known for their luck. I'd give away all our good luck if I could also give away the bad. Happy days.
