Coventry V Poole Elsf 1

Read a few tweets suggesting this will now be on Friday? With gospeed needing 48 hours notice whether to call a meeting off or not i guess it will be due to forecast. The last thing Cov promotion wants is another farce because of tv.

Would also reckon there is a good chance of BV - Swindon meeting not being run on monday either.

If the forcast is right, nothing will be on.

For us is seems it'll actually be dry most of the day (an odd shower) till evening then rain comes. They could at least give us till the morning of the meeting but Go speed and probably Sky insist on needing to know 48 hours before.

What the actual F.

Forecasts are never reliable until within a 24 hour time frame. Absolutely ridiculous if this is true.

But we have to make a decision before 48 hours due to Sky. It's better to run on a damp Friday than a damp Monday. There's also more chance of Friday's forecast changing than Monday's due to the time into the futures they aren't.

Is this the rain off date? I know sky have tweeted about looking into other dates cos of the weather, but is it definitely off?

Do you mean 18th Phil? ;)

It is sorry. Edited for accuracy

Sky said last time that it had to be called off 48 hours before. Otherwise it will turn out to be a sham like the last time the teams met.

100% chance of heavy rain on Monday. It's the right call

COVENTRY’S Elite League play-off semi-final against Poole will now take place on FRIDAY (September 18).

The decision has been taken early due to a poor weather forecast for the initial staging date on Monday.

The scheduled National League match between Coventry Storm and Cradley on Sunday goes ahead as planned (midday start).

How can there be 100% chance of rain on Monday when it is currently Saturday evening?!

Understandable if it's the rules of Go Speed but forecasts are never accurate and trustworthy until at least a 24 hour time frame. Rain is easier to predict admittedly, but there's been too many rain offs due to forecast this year.
