Coventry V Poole Elsf 1

Recommended Posts

I'm usually a glass half full type of person. Everyone said we wouldn't replace Robson but we did (eventually). Everyone seems to think the worst while i try to wait until something does or doesn't happen the comment accordingly. Too much hysteria from our (and other) fans sometimes.

POP is usually spot on, so it's guess the guest time...

I know money talk's but I just can't see Anton against going Matt Ford at this time and particularly the situation with Darcy?... But who knows!

I thought Tonio's loyalty to Poole pretty much went the way of his desire to ride in the UK. I'm not aware of any connection he has to Ford any more. As much as I'd love to see him back.

I'm sure he will be fine for monday then if he can ride through the pain barrier if needed.

Honestly I hope he's ok, mainly because I don't enjoy seeing riders hurt regardless of who they ride for, but also because I've seen him ride in pain. He'll do it because Havvy will ask him to and because he's dedicated but he'll probably be nowhere close to through the barrier. He looked to be in utter agony against Swindon.

EDIT: Also am I missing something re: Coventry replacement? I've seen a Tweet from Havvy confirming it'll be a guest.

Havvy wouldn't need to ask him, Jason will ride, because that's what Jason does! Love him or hate him, he's 100% committed and we love him for it! :approve:

Really can't decide on that one  even putting aside club loyalty. I think he is a huge talent, I just wish he was a little more Greg Hancock and a little less Nicki Pedersen.

Sometimes over committed.

If it is to be a guest i would always favour the same guest for both legs. Robert Lambert or Freddie Lindgren would be my choice but personally i think r/r is better.

Havvy was asked are we looking a replacement for JK or is R/R the most LIKELY solution? He said guest, R/R is a risk. I read that as guest is the likely solution but maybe that's just me. Havvy isn't one for in depth answers on twitter.

Ha ha. I'd rather have him in my side, than not. That's all I'm saying ;)

Suck it up Mr Zero, suck it up ......

:). No need to as Swindon won't be racing against Coventry again this season

He has carried the team this year and it just shows what an ill-conceived concept the FTR draft was. Nothing against Garrity or Bees but that is where matches are being won this season.

So that it appears they have tried. The ones contacted were never going to say yes, or we could not afford.

Signing a top rider would pay for itself at this stage of the season especially with sponsors helping to pay for a deal.

I think they contacted riders but it is a lot of organisation involved for the rider for a couple of meetings, if they had done it immediately JK got injured then perhaps would have got someone and there has to be a limit on money. Kings Lynn tried to get Dudek and failed, some riders think they can hold clubs to ransom.

They tried to get Pawlicki too.
