Joe Beevers
So continuing the theme of the nearly men which was popular, the same rules apply to who would be the World Champion out of all the riders who won the world title once. Again taking my opinion of what I saw, stats and longevity at the top, this would be my result. Please note I have not included Tomasz Gollob or Chris Holder as technically they are still riding and could win another title. 1) Jack Milne 2) Mark Loram 3) Peter Collins 4) Egon Muller 5) Tommy Price 6) Jan O Pedersen 7) Sam Ermolenko 8) Jerszy Scaziekiel 9) Bjorn Knutsson 10) Lionel Van Praag 11) Bluey Wilkinson 12) Michael Lee 13) Per Jonsson 14) Anders Michanek 15) Billy Hamill 16) Gary Havelock 1st=) Sam Ermolenko 14 (after run off) 1st=) Bjorn Knutsson 14 3rd=) Jack Milne 12 (after run off) 3rd=) Billy Hamill 12 Top Brit - Michael Lee. The White Knight
Very difficult to judge something like this over very different eras but - here goes: 1) Peter Collins 2) Bluey Wilkinson 3) Michael Lee.

Grand Central
I would go with Peter Collins to win. Also Michael Lee to be in the top four, probably top three. But I am a little young to know and decide about the relative merits of Knutson and Wilkinson. I wonder if those who have given their top three and have made a decision on these two chaps could give some guidance on their thinking? Reviresco
If this was a one off Final staged in 1983 at Norden, then Muller would win it. If it was held in any other country, Muller would not win it. Then again, if it was held in 1973 at Chorzow, maybe Szczakiel would win it? Putting that aside, I would say: Collins, Lee, Michanek. (However, I think Gollob should be included and that would change my prediction) I didn't see Knutsson ride, but his record of: 2nd, 4th, 2nd, 5th, 1st, 10th looks mighty impressive. Impressive in its own right, but don't forget this was at a time when Fundin, Briggs and Moore were at their peak as well plus Craven in the first two years. A little side discussion: I always thought it was Knutson rather than Knutsson? All the best Rob It is Knutson. His name was spelled Knutsson wrongly when he first came over and wasn't corrected - a bit like Mike Broadbank(s).Wilkinson, Knutsson, Collins Sounds good to me. Split
A little side discussion: I always thought it was Knutson rather than Knutsson? If we really want to be pedantic it was actually Björn and not Bjorn.
The White Knight
If we really want to be pedantic it was actually Björn and not Bjorn. I don't know how to do that with the 'o'.

stratton
KNUTSSON? was some rider,i never see him ride, Bjorn, Plechanov were two riders i would of loved to see live.Bjorn only winning one title shows how good my hero Briggo was that era with Ove was pretty special with Craven as well.Going back to Igor he was a great rider and his style reminds me of Emil to a degree today.
