Posf1 - Belle Vue Aces Vs Swindon Robins, 14 Sep 2015

Heat 14 original race Morris clear and Kildermand in the process of passing Josh G when Scotty came off. Worrall's exclusion was his fault.

Correct but Nicholls was second so it was 4-2 when race was stopped and a 4-2 on the re-run

Could see ht 14 panning out as a 1-5 as Killer looked quicker than Scott...

The second reserves race could have been a 5-1 but possibly a worse result for the Aces if it had been re-run rather than awarded..

Ht 3 was a virtually certain 5-1 that became a 4-2....

It seemed Swindon got away with a couple of 'rollers' that got them heat advantages...

Overall, I would say the Aces 14 point victory reflected their dominance and was a fair reflection on the difference between the two sides... ....

I see that Aces biggest loss this year was by -13 at Poole. +14 seems a lot, especially with Belle Vue's better reserves.

I would say 49-41 for Swindon next Monday with no real danger or need t use a TR.

We often dont get less than 40 away (even without a TR) so hopefully we can get the same next week...

(And great to see AJ's truly professional performance, it looked like he was really enjoying performing on the 'big stage')

I see Maths isn't your strong point (14+4=18 not 20)!! And Troy was top scorer with 8, Charles had 7!

Good grief man!

I'd made reference to the robins gaining points due to a robins inflicted re run and the heat 15 likely result, so that was the six points.

I don't count the joker when comparing rider scores much like it's not counted in averages.

Surely you knew all this, didn't you?

Were the sombrero-wearing mob out in force tonight? Encountered the buggers on my last trip there. Did many west-country fans make the miserable long trip up and back?

Oh dear! must have been a long time since your last visit then. The 'Mexican' thing at KL died a death ages ago!!

Only saw 2 Swindon fans, pretty poor for a playoff semi final.

It's a long old journey from down there on a weekday ~ over 200 miles ~ so not too surprising, but I know 4 of my Swindon friends went and had to battle through torrential rain on the way so not very pleasant. They probably felt even worse going home.

Swindon should think themselves lucky it's only 14 and they've a glimmer. They were crap last night and ht 12 could so easily been a 5-1 if anyone else was in the refs chair.

Let's see if rosco can motivate a good side rather than sling mud, I have no idea at all why he has batchelor as captain mind

Most refs would have excluded worrall, he clearly took his leg and front wheel, maybe worrall should have waited for a better opportunity as he was clearly faster as should kildermand when he got excluded.

From a neutral perspective, was very impressed with the way BV went about their business. Determined, Focused, together they, totally destroyed the opposition.

AJ was an inspired choice of guest and the track was prepared for the cause. Such was the result, I cant see no way back now from this 14 point mauling.

Yes , there is a second leg to come, but after Swindon's dismal showing last night, this can only be a formality for BV now.

I never understand how Batchelor is always made captain. Not the best team player.

With rain forecast Monday morning & early afternoon, the track could be a bit wetter than usual in the evening. I can't see Troy being very motivated by that.

Not impossible for Swindon to claw it back. Anything can happen in speedway with injuries or bike problems.

On Belle Vue's visits to the Abbey this year, they have won by 14 and lost by 6 (and that was with Zagar off form & scoring 2)
