We'll done to Morely sounds like there was more dirt in the car park ,heard Ellis was the fastest on show but there was nothing there for him to make passes.

Do Rye own the rights to this meeting , might be a better spectacle at somewhere like Birmingham.

Junior

You heard wrong then. He'd have done better if he stopped chasing back wheels, almost causing grief to himself and others, and made some genuine attempts to pass which other riders managed.

Well done to Ben Morley, a long overdue result.

Doesn't sound a lot different ,maybe Silver should bitumise it doesn't sound like he waters it anyway.

Again, you weren't there. Where did you get this information?

As Ben,s grandad I feel so proud of him.15point max you can,t do better than that..so many times the bridesmaid in the past but it all came good tonight.Congratulations also to his mum and dad who help to keep his bikes in top condition,,and all those who have supported him with so much enthusiasm....

Another example of why the 20 heat formula works so well. He could've easily been outgated or suffered bike problems had there been semis and a final. The best rider over 20 heats wins the trophy

The.riders told me there was plenty of dirt early on.

But as the meeting progressed they had to move out wide to find it..This is pretty much the norm at most speedway meetings.and I would suggest that the riders know what they are talking about...

Can I join the list of posters disagreeing with junior fan. There were some good races, it was possible to pass.

Morley and Branford were always going to be difficult to beat given their familiarity with Rye, and Ayres finished his season on a high. And Armo - what a character.

I think ellis' tactic when behind was to scare the rider in front however it didn't work on Ayres / Morley his crash on that last turn could have been far worse he was very lucky

Funny how different supporters see things I was told Morley pulled a big locker and Ellis did well to miss him .

I think Ellis tactic when behind is to overtake !

Scare ?? What a weird statement.

Btw. I was on the last corner and Morley ( well deserved winner) did pull a massive locker. Adam did well not to hit him.

He is allowed to do that if he's leading.

Scare, he tries showing them a front wheel and moves them off the line as he did too young Zach yesterday

So his "tactic" to "scare" other riders is by "showing them his front wheel"?

What's he supposed to do, send them a polite email asking if it's ok to overtake ?

Or just do a Niki P and barge them out of the way ?

Sorry but I will not tolerate language , obviously it was noted by other people but if you can't voice an opinion on here without abuse I won't bother .

Attacking riders are not trying to scare the rider in front they are trying to put them under pressure to make a mistake...Adam and Ben are both class acts at this level and have great respect for one another, having been team mates at Lakeside.

Again, you're making comments without actually seeing the meeting. Morley was racing on the outside line, taking the line Ellis had been riding all meeting. Ben then switched inside on the last bend to block Ellis's run. Perfectly legal move and shows a good speedway brain.

I've always thought of Ben as a bit of a white liner, but he's come on leaps and bounds on yesterday's showing. His bike looked pretty quick which always helps. Deserving winner, no doubt

Totally agree with Shads on this, some people are confusing a locker,or unwanted lock up,with a controlled cut back regularly used by Ben as a tacticle move..

There should be no doubt Morley was the best rider and deserved the win. As said, in the final heat there didn't seem to be more than 2 bike lengths between them with Morley taking Ellis preferred outside line virtually all race then switching to hug the inside line on the last bend to block Ellis inside move, brilliant race from both of them. Roll on the nlrc AT Rye House next year I say.
