No Weegies At The Dump?!

Recommended Posts

Embra have a free friday night and the weather is set fair.

But there is no meeting sheduled

Pity that.

could we have the first leg of the league cup final?

No, it seems and there is no fixture congestion i can see.

Are the weegies playing for time? with the aussie boys heading home for the GP.

Are Nieminen and the pavlova returning from injury?

Are Spud and Dickie lawson doing their hair?

Is Jimmy the kangaroo practising his starts instead?

Answers on a fag packet to Messrs harkess and campbell c/o "the dump"

Come on Weegies.....you pumped us the last time

There will be no meeting at Armadale on Friday and the next meeting will be against Berwick in our final Premier league match of the season on Friday 18th September.

Said co-promoter Alex Harkess, "We have reached the time of the year when our next match, to a large extent, is dependent on the result of fixtures elsewhere. We did approach Glasgow to race the League Cup Final on Friday but they were unable to take up that offer. To be fair it wouldn't have been perfect for us as we want to publicise that match as much as possible to maximise the crowd."

"Berwick were prepared to come this Friday or next Friday and, for various reasons it was better to bring them on the 18th. One good reason was that Erik Riss was keen to be in Germany on Friday for the practice session of the next Long Track Grand Prix. With Joonas Kylmakorpi withdrawing from that competition Erik needs to pick up ten points to go top of the standings although their are a number of riders now in close competition."

Talks are ongoing with Glasgow about the dates for the League Cup Final and we will announce these as soon as possible.
