what drives the fans away is seeing uncompetitive racing,(e.g. teams packed with nl guests) good luck to the scorps hoping to make it over for this one, im sure our 2 tigers will be giving their all for you, never mind where Ipswich finish it should be about where scunny finish, finish the season off with a win and send em home happy.

he will have a sick note for not riding speedway, if he wants to ride in an individual meeting in longtrack i quess its upto him, and again the team would of been announced to plymouth and peterbro as soon as theo was ruled out, wouldnt they have protested by now and got us to change?... how many riders have been injured for their team but still rode in gps?, didnt riss ride grass/lomgtrack while being out for his team?

its cheating end of,seems to becoming clearer by the minute if hes unfit for speedway hes as sure as hell unfit for longtrack,he may not ride longtrack but if he does be honest and admit your promotion are a disgrace and should stand down from the management committee

If he has a sicknote which I assume he does, its not cheating, if he chooses to ride longtrack the day after that's upto him.

If he rides in practice on friday its cheating end of!

As others have stated, if Theo has a med cert deeming him unfit to ride Speedway on Friday, then Scunny will be entitled to a facility.

Whether or not he participates in the Long Track practice is irrelevant as you cannot equate the physical demands of practising alone, for a duration of his choice, to riding competitively in 4 lap, 4 rider, league racing.

If Theo has a sicknote and says hes not riding due to injury, what do you expect the Scunthorpe promotion to do....make him ride.

When riders pick up a knock they often prioritise which clubs/meetings they ride in, it happens all the time in speedway.

Cheers - hope that quite a few of the Tigers' faithful come across to see Andre Compton and David Bellego in action tonight.

Two solid teams on track tonight - should be a good 'un. And yeah, it would definitely be nice to finish our home fixtures with a win. If we win tonight and then nick a point from Peterborough on Sunday, there's still a chance we could finish tenth.

All the best

Rob

I believe the issue of Piper is a little more complicated, if he is saying he is unfit to ride for his contracted speedway team he has to produce a medical certificate that says he is unfir and cant ride. In order to ride in an FIM event he has to sign a document that declares him fit to ride, the two are mutually exclusive.

Having declared himself unfir to ride, then signing an FIM form to say he IS fit could result in heavyweight disciplinary charges

Not prepared to criticise Theo who has been darned superb for us this season. Sorry he will not be there to take the applause that he so richly deserves for his unstinting efforts on the track for Scunthorpe. All the best Theo and thanks.

It depends what the document actually says, if it declares he is fit to race today or tomorrow.

when does theo have to be at longtrack? when is the race? does he have to be there on friday for practice? i believe that theo intended to ride yesterday, today and sunday as rob would of said hes unavailabe, same as lyager this week and got a guest in earlier, i also think as captain he will be there tonight to thank fans and set off later in evening, most riders jet off same day or next day.

Shrimmy I was thinking the same the kid goes on and on can't he just watch and enjoy the speedway for what it is without the politics. Bet he chucks his pencil case around after Plymouth get a nice little away win when an out of sorts average lowering team full of guests get beat at home.

Can't beat a good conspiracy theory

Cant see how you can accuse Lewy of acting like a child.

He is standing up for what he thinks is right and asking for a rule to be fairly and consistently enforced - thats all.

Too often teams (all teams at times) look at how a rule can be bypassed or manipulated and unless someone takes a stand they get away with it.

Comments like ' it happens all the time' ' its only practice' 'he can be ok the day after' 'riders often pick and choose' dont make it right.
