Leicester Lions 2016

So we have another 6 days left before the rest of the team are announced. Not seen anything anywhere yet, so we are still left in the dark.

Either a triple announcement is imminent (tbd, we've had no notice for any of the announcements) or they're not meeting their christmas deadline. some hope for next year (with three decent signings) would be a good christmas present. If they're gunna be riders announced that confirm our wooden spoon position, id almost rather they didn't announce it before christmas!

Been reading the posts and thought I would put this on.

Find out the size details of a football pitch. Did you know that not all pitches are the same size? The length of a pitch must be between 100 yards (90m) and 130 yards (120m) and the width not less than 50 yards (45m) and not more than 100 yards (90m).
Leicester is 46 meters across.

Mr Hemsley only said he could "envisage" completing the team by Christmas. If you look up the definition of that word, it only means a possibility, at the most!

It is, but not continuously for 90m end to end. To accommodate a pitch of 90m length, it would have to be only about 43m wide.

Probably ment next Christmas not this one. Just fail to see though, which 3 riders there are left out there, who want to race over here and on a Saturday too. Can see it being a wodden spoon team again, hope not as it is going to take a lot to tempt me, coming out next season, to see them end up with no hopes of wining anything. Just hope that they suprise us all and pull some rabbits out of the hat, so to speak. Heres a Merry Christmas to not just the Lions fans, but to all the fans that come on the Lions thread.

How come some of the lower league football stadiums can be shown in the FA cup. They don't have PL lighting

Football TMW = no expense spared , Sky would bring whatever is required ,including overpaid washed up ex footballer pundits to broadcast the illusion . your question as to how showing lower league football is achieved seems to have sidetracked into a debate about running a football team at Beaumont Park somehow . I very much doubt that even if it were possible it would greatly enhance finances commensurate with the inconvenience it would cause . there are far better ways of using the stadium in off peak times that would better serve that purpose

TBF Football may attract funding to spend on new lighting.......Lol

Google Earth suggests differently, but you know best. How much grassy space outside of the perimeter would there be, to ensure the players have some run-off area along the sides, and for the referee's assistants to run the line safely?

the players could play in team kevlars instead of their football kit that should sort the problem of any grazes.
