CB252
Knowing the way Leicester is run we'll find out what their team is about half an hour before their first meeting.
Shirl
Colin Cook & John Titman I think If only that was true Great shout
Big Al
Now that it looks as if there's no limits on age and previous experience for the Fast Track eligibility, I hear Les Collins is being lined-up by Leicester to be named at No.
justathought
We are delighted to announce that Josh Auty makes a return to Leicester next season as one of the two Lions reserves and he will have a new race partner in Paul Starke. Auty made six Elite League appearances for Leicester before injury in May ruled him out and Starke was part of Poole’s Elite League Championship winning team last season. Co-promoter David Darcy who represented the club at the Elite Draft Reserve selection process on Tuesday said: “My priority was to secure Josh Auty first of all and I was pleased that when it came to making my second choice Paul Starke was available. With Josh and Paul that gives us a solid foundation at reserve to build upon now. The news was well received by David Hemsley and that gives him and Norrie Allan a great start to securing the riders to complete the main body of the team.”

Big Al
Has any info been released about replacing the "draft/protected" riders when they get injured? Will any guest replacement be limited to the Tier 1, or will any guest now be allowed as long as the rider has the right average? I love riders who "get stuck in" -- but Auty's style of riding probably makes him more prone to injury than the average rider (including retribution dished out by other riders!). I sincerely hope Auty has a full season without injury, but i think the guest replacement system to be used could be vital for Leicester.

Captainoftheship
Leicester have done well in the Elite League draft for the 2016 campaign. Josh Auty and Paul Starke will be A strong pairing for the Lions in 2016.
lionstigersnotbearsohmy
Now that it looks as if there's no limits on age and previous experience for the Fast Track eligibility, I hear Les Collins is being lined-up by Leicester to be named at No.6 Sadly Sir Les' talents would be wasted on the current Leicester track. What a talented racer he was. Stood behind him and brother Neil in the queue to get in on opening night. Those heady days of 2011 seem but a distant memory now. Big Al
So....harking back to the first post on this thread, has Buster Chapman's election as the new BSPA chief and other elections been developments which David Hemsley views positively or not in terms of what he was wanting (whatever that was). Chapmans has already been talking about the need to ensure the entertainment served up is good value for money, and to have fixed race nights in the future (2017 onwards) - which for sure won't be Saturdays in the Elite league. This is the same Buster Chapman whose track was openly criticised by David Hemsley last year, for not being a racing track!! M
robert72
Reading this weeks comic Its clear DH really does believe his track provides top class entertainment, but in fact he is killing speedway in Leicester with his awful track.

But recovery must be going okay cos sure I read somewhere that he's coming back to the UK next week? Jason has tweeted he has arrived back and the authorities have let him back in.
