TMW
It actually said ex 2015 gp star. I'd say they are all 'Ex' 2015 GP stars. Seeing as none of them will be 2015 GP stars again !!!!

beckettlion
Magnus Karlsson and Kauko Nieminen as second strings and THJ as a heat leader. Oh please Realistically, they could be better options than some? At least we know Kauko and Magnus are good heat leaders around Beaumont Park in the Premier League, which is usually a reasonable guide that they'd be half decent at second string in the elite league? I know these options aren't going to set the world alight, but we don't exactly have the greatest number of options readily available to us. I still think the 7 I put earlier would be competitive with the Bees septet, which has highlighted how difficult it is to build a strong side IMO Nick Morris, Antonio Lindback, Piotr Pawlicki, Timo Lahti, Vaclav Milik, Josh Grazonic........................There's loads about. Nick Morris is likely to end up at Swindon again I'd imagine. I like him, but don't think he'd be a number 1 in this league. Don't think we'll see Lindback at Leicester (wouldn't turn him down mind you), Piotr didn't go down too well at Wolves- bit of an elite league user last time he was here? Not likely to come here in his first GP season anyway... Lahti, Milik or Gracjzonek are nowhere near elite league number 1s
stevebrum
Piotr didn't go down too well at Wolves- bit of an elite league user last time he was here? With the fans he was a huge hit. Up until his polish club and commitments came calling he was excellent for Wolves. If he wanted to come back to the EL, it would likely be with his parent club and almost certainly not a Saturday track!

Shale Searcher
If we didn't have an out and out number 1, but had strength in depth and top reserves, that could be successful with the make-up of the league this year.. Winning the 2 reserves races 5-1 gives you an 8 point advantage, and if you can fill in the minor places more often than not, you shouldn't lose that many matches.. In my opinion. neb
what you would get with nemo and magnus is commitment to the club and 100% effort can that be said of the others that will probably come and go during the season.

Assumed that was the case for the majority as a lot seemed to be nodding in agreement. It was just after he'd left, so maybe there was some sour grapes over that

It was just after he'd left, so maybe there was some sour grapes over that In fairness I think a lot of us questioned his commitment when he was announced as a signing due to his lack of commitment with other clubs. To be honest given his other commitments I expected tons of clashes and problems but in fairness to him other than the odd missed meeting he was a pleasure right up to him missing a couple of meetings before he was sacked. Others may see it different however I saw many wolves fans saying he was our rider of the year even tho he was sacked. Says it all really his poor the rest were, woffy included.
wandersome
David Hemsley wrote in the Leicester v Poole programme dated 31/8/15: "I feel my aim would be to get the clubs represented on an equal footing and start to bring the sport more aligned to the professional organisations with the sports and leisure industry that I am used to dealing with on a day to day basis." Not been here for a while but just reading post 1 of this thread i wondered how DH is getting on aligning the sport with the professional organisations he deals with in his day job as an architect. Hopefully his wealth of knowledge in dealing with less amateurish sportsfolk has not only helped the sport move forward but has helped him put Lions on a equal footing with the other elite league clubs this year. So for a quick overview and to get me up to date, hows it's going... all good?

beckettlion
Get Steady in a as a double upper. Depends if he's on the heat leader list. Think after his injury he'd be a risk in a heat leader role. Definitely worth it if we could get him as second string. Stead and masters at second string, both could push most heat leaders on their day and would give us great strength in depth... Think most lions fans would love to have Simon back, top rider, even better bloke
