screm
I said it'd be someone local. Cheap ! Both are probably true, but its difficult to see any rider that would come in a score any points, I am sure Ruddick will do his best, and the experience will do him no harm but it renders the meeting a foregone conclusion and not very attractive to the paying customer.

On the other hand it could mean that a few of his friends might come to watch now that wouldn't normally, it will be a good experience for the lad, especially the fact that he is riding next week in the U19's

crescent girl
Sadly, Thomas Jorgensen re-injured his left shoulder at Plymouth last night. He was in pain throughout, pulled off track during Heat 5 and really hurt it in Heat 11 when he took a big lunge on the 3/4th turn (and nearly wiped out Coty) and finished the race more or less a one-armed Bandit. He was signed off by paramedic, and won't be racing tonight. Ryan Fisher will make the 475 miles trip to guest for Bandits at No 1 against Rye House. Sad way to finish the season for TJ, who, along with the Captain, has been a rare beacon of light in an injury-ravaged season. Been a great signing for Berwick this season and having spoken to him a couple of times, seemed to like it here as well. Hopefully the Fish will continue his form from last week. Should be a couple of good races against Kennett.
bigeddiechek
I wish TJ a quick recovery and all the best for the next season. He's been an exemplary professional speedway rider. Completely out of the top drawer. I'm wishing for us to have speedway next year, and I'm going to be greedy, I want it with TJ. I really hope tonight won't be the last ever Bandits meeting. Hopefully we get a lot of people out to show that it is worth fighting for.

Can't have helped his shoulder trying to race a bike with a flat tyre.

topsoil
It was what it was, a very easy win over a severely depleted team. Biggest pay day of the season for Berwick, good to see especially Garcia and Hall in the points. Kennett was in a class of his own, after retiring in heat 1 and Jakobsen was involved in a couple of good races. By and large most races were over after (for once) Berwick riders making the gates. If it is the final home meeting for Berwick then what a way to go out. Painfully small crowd tonight, probably not helped by the make up of the opposition and the way the season has gone in general. One pleasing point was, again, the number of fans who stayed behind to watch the juniors. Always an encouraging sign. There is a lot of good work going on with the young riders and Berwick and it would be great, if the club has a future, if the work continues, because the more young local riders that come through the better.

topsoil
Dont think the crowd was any worse than a lot of meetings this season. Certainly not enough to keep the sport viable. There has to be a lot of work goes in to attract missing fans back and also to get new fans in.
