Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 02/09/15

Recommended Posts

The Pirates return to action on Wednesday to take on Kings Lynn after two postponements at home, on what is bound to be an emotional evening.

The Stars will provide tough opposition, led by Neils-Kristian Iversen but could depend on the guests they choose whether they are able to run the Pirates close.

Poole will need to try and not let themselves be out manouvered and out fought on track.

Feelings will still be running high after the dreadful news from Darcy's accident still painfully raw in everyone's mind.

Matt Ford and Neil Middleditch will have to try and rally the team some how with league points still to be raced for.

Poole can still finish top if they gain maximum points from the remaining meeting

Thoughts?

With Coventry & Swindon the only other EL team riding tomorrow & no PL fixtures, surely King's Lynn could have got a stronger guest for Kerr than Josh Bates?

This is the problem with the EDR.We have struggled to get decent replacements in as there isn't really anyone available to Kerr's standard. The only ones who are,are above him in the list so can't be used.Probably Worrall would be ok but is unavailable for obvious reasons. Then I think you are only allowed to use them 4 times if I read it correctly.A big rethink for the EDR over the winter is needed.Good in principal but when injuries occur it makes it a mockery.

And now you know why thats one of the reasons Kyle Newman was voted ROTY for us last season. Along with Magic he was superb. It is a real problem, and its something that needs to be urgently addressed at the AGM

Good luck Pirates hope you can get recent events to the backs of your mind and ride to your full capabilities...not for Swindon's gain solely but your own benefit to hope it's a good un

Thats very nice of you to say that HS. :t:

To be honest, I think that 2 EDR's should be replaced with 1 EDR & 1 reserve, the reserve earning an average as per the 1- 5s. Any rider that has ridden 2 seasons as an EDR should not be included next season & perhaps an age limit. Riders aged 26 as an EDR is a nonsense. PL should assist & not have priority over an EDR as they were not willing to participate in the EDR system. Not enough riders to go round is a major problem.

Well personally I couldn't give a rat's anus who we have guesting :/

We'll not bother the Pirates unless they have the misfortune to ride on a track like Lynn lost on tonight ....wet - and a gater's paradise :/

I predict a close meeting with the scores seesawing back and forth, level at heat 13. Lynn get a massive 5-1 in heat 14 and finish off with a 4-2 in 15 thus winning by 6 points and claiming 4 league points. Let's face it Holder and Watt are not in right mind set at present (understandably) and Magic is carrying an injury. Bjerre is due a massive score, Lambert was flying round Wimborne Road last visit until he did literally fly into the fence and NKI is NKI. Lawson is a decent guest.

And then I woke up, but stranger things have happened  and Poole do not like visiting Kirky Lane :P

Edited to add as the scores filter across to Brandon, Pearson and Tatum will be astounded, gurning their surprise and turning to Chris Louis and his big TV to try and explain what went on :P
