mdmc82
I would imagine the track should be able to cope with a shower as its light rain at the moment. Imagine it won't have been watered much with showers forecast http://m.bbc.co.uk/weather/cv8 http://m.accuweather.com/en/gb/brandon/dh7-8/hourly-weather-forecast/323094 No more rain is forecast after this Edited September 2, 2015 by mdmc82
Bee 26
Perhaps if said promoter was trackside they could give us a clue They'll keep quiet to get your money of you!
Shale Searcher
Trouble is, they are popcorn showers, impossible to predict where and when they will strike as they are not from organised belts of the wet stuff, here one minute, blown out the next... thecoombdog
My mate who is at the stadium has said it's bucketing it down at the moment
mdmc82
It is getting heavier 😕 Problem is even though though the sun is trying to come out, the rain isn't letting up. With Swindon already riding Monday and Coventry already riding Wednesday, I think if this is off then it may be ran after the cut off date as no free dates available. mdmc82
Infra red res says another 10/15mins then clear.... Thanks. Typical isn't it not long before a meeting. It's now more of a drizzle. I would say this means Coventry will have no home advantage now but we never do anyway.
TheSmiler
This rain really could kill our season.

This type of set up guarantees this type of shower... but hard to predict when/where, and they can do lots of track damage in short time Windows.. Our riders aren't fans of a wet track, could swing in Swindon (minus Troy's) favour
SCB
This rain really could kill our season. The rain? Not Hans Andersen riding like he has/is, the sticking with Robbo guests as the team started to lose form... There's a few things but the rain isn't really one of them. Woz01
Our riders aren't fans of a wet track, could swing in Swindon (minus Troy's) favour Have you not seen previous meetings v Swindon on a wet/heavy track. They usually hate it more than anyone. See last years semi final. Edited September 2, 2015 by woz01
SCB
Our riders aren't fans of a wet track, could swing in Swindon (minus Troy's) favourit depends how wet. Joonas and Bomber were on maximum vs Poole until it got too wet. Garrity doesn't give a crap, his issue that was touching the tapes then getting a gate 2. The same team (pretty much) revelled in the wet at Lakeside last year when it rained for 30 minutes about an hour before the start.

See last years semi final. That was two different teams though with the exception of a handful of riders. Sun is now back out. This weather really is random. markyb
Fantastic gesture of Mick Horton to pay 10 quid to the attending few to attend. Whoops read it wrong again, he seems to think I will pay 10 quid to come inside a massively wet stadium which could go on till midnight (now that the curfew scenario was just a smoke screen) With second rate guest riders. Come Neil Watson, let's hear you bleat !!!
mdmc82
Depending on the Poole v King's Lynn result, Coventry & Swindon could both secure their play off places tonight. Hope the riders from both teams stay safe
RobMcCaffery
Looks like we're in for ten heats of mud sliding. :-D Hopefully not.
