Anzum
Meeting better than I thought it would be when I arrived in the rain. Well done to both teams. Had a fine time on bend 3/4. Thought Swindon might just win it until the tractor came out after heat 11 and messed up gate 3 and helped Gate 4. Clever of Coventry to realise who was getting what gates at the end. Suddenly gate 4 gets 8 points out of the last four heats when it had only scored 4 in the first 11. Congratulations to both teams making the play offs. Gemini
Fantastic gesture of Mick Horton to pay 10 quid to the attending few to attend. Whoops read it wrong again, he seems to think I will pay 10 quid to come inside a massively wet stadium which could go on till midnight (now that the curfew scenario was just a smoke screen) With second rate guest riders. Come Neil Watson, let's hear you bleat !!! Strange how the second rate guest rider tonight was the top scorer. Reading through this thread you're not the only miserable sod though as there seems to be quite a lot on Coventry threads. Glad I stood with 9 Swindon fans tonight who were a great laugh, especially the one with the megaphone, although Lucy didn't get much sleep.

SpecialOne
And that is the play offs. Really does amuse me watching pretty much any Coventry match on tele these days. Sky spend half the show with the camera on Havelock so everyone can have a good old laugh at his constant moaning and whinging. Anyway good effort from all considering track conditions near the start. Mon the robins. Glory glory Alun Rossiter.
Woz01
Given the conditions a pretty good meeting. My observations; Havelock as normal was full of crap accusing everybody. James Sargeant moves in anticipation on most of his races, so can hardly be surprised he is under the microscope. That is probably the most controlled I have seen Garrity unlike his usual accident waiting to happen performance, fair play to him. Kildemand needs his arse kicked for not clearing the track. Kildemand just looked slow, was he riding the track spare (do they still exist?). Bachelor did exactly what I expected given the conditions. Great to see Lewis Rose fit and riding well. Congratulations to Coventry on the win, but it seems the crowd forgot to turn up, worrying for the sport in Coventry. So 3 of the play off teams known, and I still wouldn't like to pick a winner (although my money would be on the South coast right now). I didn't attend as I was at a funeral in the day but with the weather as it was at 6pm I wasn't at all surprised the crowd was low. As I said after the Cov v Poole debacle the crowd would still be low at £10 if the weather forecast was awful and om Sky, looks like i was right. Generally Cov get excellent crowds so not concerned about that.

JonHWeiner
Not mentioned by Nigel and Kelvin but Max Fricke was a great guest for us several times last season and he did it again last night. Not everyone on here approved of him as a guest for this match but well done Max! Also great respect to all 14 riders in tricky conditions.
Bee 26
Should have signed Fricke at the start of the season!
Aces51
Should have signed Fricke at the start of the season! He wanted to go to Belle Vue so doubt there was ever much chance.

I wouldn't get over confident as Coventry have a lot of points to play with if reports are true that Joonas is unable to ride for the rest of the season & a good replacement can be signed for what is only a maximum of 4 matches . Would like to wish Joonas a speedy recovery & hope he's a Bee next season .
The Master 88
Right I have just watched the meeting frame by frame at the starts, Heat 4 Sarg did move but only just, Rerun Kildermand roller not just moved, Heat 7 Morris did not move both times it was called back, Heat 8 Sarg did not move, Heat 9 Kildermand moved, heat 10 Batch Moved, heats 13 and 15 Zengota Moved, My feeling again I will say Transponders on bikes, and Ban bad refs, Also send Rosco to specsavers,
