Coventry V Swindon - Wednesday 2nd September

Recommended Posts

Based on his scoring of 4 points v the same team at the same track less than 2 weeks ago. Fricke is likely to score more than that .

That was one meeting, all riders have a off night.

Not convinced Fricke will score more than 4 as only just scored more than that as a 2nd string.

hmmm 4 rides from fricke or one each from harris , andersen, king , howarth

id of gone with r/r

That's what's confusing. If they struggled to find a guest then RR would have on paper been stronger with every rider able to take an extra ride.

Prediction 38-52

Swindon team - Troy, Aaron, Nick, Peter, Zengi, Charles, Lewis

Coventry team - Chris, Kyle, Danny, Hans, Max Fricke, Jason, James.

Not sure about Troy at 1 and hope Lewis is now fit as the two Cov reserves are good.

Swindon should get three points from this to add to the three on thurs.

With the track being so wet, I doubt Troy, Summers, Zengi or Lewis will enjoy it. Nick and Peter will do well to stay on!

Garrity will take 7 rides and win it for the bees.

I can only assume they want to use Nicholls and Cook in the next week so picked Fricke for tomorrow otherwise doesn't make much sense. R/R would probably be stronger but it wouldn't be the first time we have been wrong and the guest does well. Doolan at Poole a good example.

Yeah fair point, they also might be thinking giving the rest of the top 5 extra rides puts them at more risk of injury when we really need to keep everyone fit. I think Fricke will struggle against such strong opposition though.

So with Lynn's loss at home tonight, if King's Lynn fail to pick up any points tomorrow at Poole the most they could finish on would be 51.

This would mean regardless of what the score is at Brandon, Coventry would secure their place in the Play offs tomorrow night and if Swindon pick up 1 point or more so would they.

It'll be on. Whatever rain is due is apparently light and brief which could actually help preparation if that is the case.

I'm at a funeral today so might not make this evening but hopeful of a big crowd.

Prediction: 47-43, we are obviously stronger than the 1st meeting and Swindon are of course now without Darcy which now pushes Zengota up to heat leader so cant see him scoring as heavily.

Swindon look a lot weaker to me without the almost guaranteed wins of Darcy Ward at number one. Peter is a decent replacement, but with him riding on a second string leaves us slightly vulnerable at the top.

I think Coventry might win this time, but I reckon we're still pretty solid and good for a point. Maybe even a draw.
