Swedish Play-offs 2015

Recommended Posts

Swedish "Play-offs" 2015.

Elitserien semi-finals:

Elit Vetlanda (1) - Dackarna (4) and Indianerna (2) -Piraterna (3)

This Tuesday (September 1st)

Piraterna-Indianerna

Piraterna

  1. Greg Hancock
  2. Victor Palovaara
  3. Chris Holder
  4. Patryk Dudek
  5. Piotr Pawlicki
  6. Daniel Davidsson
  7. Fredrik Engman

Indianerna

  1. Antonio Lindbäck
  2. Artem Laguta
  3. Piotr Protasiewicz
  4. Fredrik Lindgren
  5. Niels-Kristian Iversen
  6. Joel Andersson
  7. Mikkel Bech

Will be very close, possibly a slight advantage for Indianerna. Piraterna defeated Indianerna with 12p a few weeks ago, but neither team was full strength,

Piraterna didn't have Piotr Pawlicki and Indianerna didn't have Artem Laguta and Piotr Protasiewicz. Indianerna won the first meeting by 6p but R/R for Lindgren,

Nicholls instead of Artem and Rory Schlein on the reserve. Piraterna didn't have Darcy..

Dackarna-Elit Vetlanda

Dackarna

  1. Michael Jepsen Jensen* **
  2. Jason Doyle* **
  3. Krzyszof Buczkowski* **
  4. Joonas Kylmäkorpi R/R / Hans Andersen **
  5. Nicki Pedersen / Hans Andersen **
  6. Mikael Max* **
  7. Robin Aspegren* **

Elit Vetlanda

  1. Tai Woffinden
  2. Peter Ljung
  3. Emil Sayfutdinov
  4. Tomas H Jonasson
  5. Bartosz Zmarzlik
  6. Kenny Wennerstam
  7. Rune Holta

Dackarna's team is about uncertain at the moment. Joonas is confirmed as not riding. Nicki would decide Tuesday am. If he doesn't ride Hans Andersen

will have to come in for either Nicki or Joonas. Nicki said in a comment to a Danish newspaper that he have a loss of memory from the actual crash and the first

few moments afterwards. Imo it would be reckless by him to try and ride just 3 days after banging his head in the way he did yesterday.

*=R/R for Joonas, **=R/R for Nicki.

Will both teams use R/R? Or no facility for Holder and Iversen as both not injured?

Normally R/R is only allowed for injured riders and for riders that are occupied with federation meetings (national and international championship meetings and etc), however for postponed meetings R/R is also allowed for riders that are occupied with another league meeting.

The rule that applies here is rule * 5.10.4

How is it looking weather wise for Dackarna ??

Weather is go for launch. Haven't rained for most of the day and no more rain is expected.

The other meeting could probably have been held today as well but the forecasts yesterday said lots of rain all day and evening.

It have also been confirmed that tomorrow's meeting will be televised.

Looks as though it should be on. Another 30 minutes maybe to lick the track into shape. Please send some rain over here  Baking hot and dry and no end in sight.

At least with the delay i can swivel around and watch Caroline Wozniacki display her (tennis) wares. :t:

Could be an interesting heat 3 with "Bomber" Doyle on a greasy track. ;) Fingers crossed for a safe heat.

Watching on my favourite Swedish stream here.

Classic piece of Eurosport. Decided track work was going to delay the meeting so went for another ad break just after having had one - just as the riders were coming out for heat 5!

Sad that the weather's robbed us of a chance to enjoy the Malilla track for what looks like the final time this year :-(

Match Summary.

Vetlanda bring their gating boots.

Very much so. It's such a pity that we're not seeing the same superb race track that hosted the Malilla GP. Damn weather!

Vetlanda are far too strong though. I'm amazed they've dropped any match points all season.

21-39 and Tai not contributing a huge score. Wonder what the gate will be for the second leg? ;)
