King's Lynn V Leicester 01/09/15

Recommended Posts

Just noticed the new date on the Lynn website.Absolutely peed off to be honest it only shows it on the fixtures not on the homepage,no headlines or nothing. In fact the main page is the Young Stars victory on Friday, with the next match Wednesday the 2nd which is the Young Stars v Kent Kings. Is it a cock up who knows. But to only find out today it looks like I will be missing my first home match of the season. Not a mention on the BSPA site nowhere.Absolutely ridiculous

I think us fans should be shown a little bit more respect,or are we just expected to turn up given 2 days notice and that was through luck. How many of us knew before I put this on here.It will be 1 days notice to most if they read this tomorrow.

I just hope they have cocked up on their website, but it definately has it down for Tuesday.

Are Sweden riding Tuesday I think they have just entered the play-offs.Do they race the play-offs straight away?

Kings Lynn have asked Leicester to go on Tuesday but they are not happy to do so as will have no Doyle and Polish riders are booked home on flights on Tuesday.

I heard the Leicester promotion are also unhappy that Kings Lynn have gone ahead and booked guests in Bomber and Cook before even asking Leicester about the fixture so they are not prepare to go there but seems the BSPA are going to force the fixture through.

only had 26 weeks to fit 14 home fixtures in guess that's not long enough ?

Karma my friend. Next time, don't abandon a meeting with 1 race left to get a result unecessarily.

I take it Lynn will be without Iversen then for this as Doyle will be missing. And Milik missing I assume as you say Cook is riding.A Belle Vue rider guesting is that right. What if they win at Wolves tomorrow, what will Cook do for Lynn

The official Stars twitter has Milik riding.

Harris for Iversen and Wilkinson for Kerr. No mention of Cook at all.

I was just going on what Flagrag said.

On the Lynn website now,as you said no mention of Cook.

And they had confirmation on Sunday night that Leicester could come this Tuesday.

I am still peed off that they can arrange a match at such short notice.Surely this could have been sorted a few days after the rain off on Monday.

Surely the BSPA can't make a club run a meeting on a night when there riders are genuinely riding elsewhere?

Maybe as they are both missing their no1 it evens itself out.You would think being a Lynn home meeting they would probably just miss their rider very slightly more.

With Coventry already having riders missing this week and a busy week of fixtures on Mon, Wed, Thur & Fri (Plus Harris has challenger Sat) it's a big risk Bomber guesting in this.

I hope he stays safe.

He maybe thinking loads of ££££'s :t:

But hardly even if kl booked a guest for their missing number one before advising Leicester of the fixture date!?!

Surely it was the referee who deemed the track unsafe? Or are you advocating riders racing on an unsafe track in order to get a result?

As I've been saying for a while.

Seriously it used to be that the home club offered the away team 3 dates, if none were acceptable the BSPA decreed when the meeting should be run. Anyone know if this is still the case? If it is, Lynn are innocent :D

Of course if the original meeting had started on time this whole thread would be unnecessary

With a wet day forecast today and a stock car meeting today at the stadium run in the rain id guess this meeting has question marks hanging over it already- needs to be a good drying day tomorrow to get the track pulled round to anything like a speedway track .

BUGGAR, I looked at the club website a minutes ago, and there was nothing on there. Someone said it was on Twitter, but not everybody lives in that world, me included.

I've arranged to do something else tomorrow night now, which means I've got to let the people down that I work for at speedway.....BUGGAR!!

The Stars promotion don't seem to give a toss about us fans anymore. Like Mimmo I have other plans for tomorrow night . If I had known earlier I could have changed thinks and been there supporting the Stars.

I think in this case they had little choice. This has to be run and is the easier of the 2 outstanding fixtures to get points from. They cannot ride Weds or Sat this week. That leaves Tues, Thurs & Fri. If they leave it till Thurs/Fri and it's rained off again it may well not be run imagine the furore then.

As I said above, it used to be the case that if clubs couldn't agree a date the BSPA told them when to run it, common sense therefore says run it as early as possible in case the weather intervenes yet again. (did I really put BSPA and common sense in the same sentence :o )

It could also be the case that they are trying to get Swindon here on Friday (again in case of another rain off)

Bit of a late call.....guess there'll be about 10 spectators in the stadium...I sure as hell can't make it at such short notice :-(

Hope BV lose at Wolverhampton tonight and Stars win on Tues then we don't need to worry about Swindon...
