crazysue
Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the Updates site? If so, could you please send me a private message including your mobile number. Thanks
ellioth4
Updates of tonight's meeting will be covered by James Madeley and me, with thanks to the NL Facebook speedway page. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14969/rye-house-cradley-sat-7pm
Shadders
Quite dark overhead. Looks like it may tip down soon (17:35)
Alan_Jones
Much as I'd like to catch up on the soap opera at source, the weather has put me off going tonight. It's been raining in Walthamstow for about an hour. Looking at Monday's forecast, I wouldn't be surprised to see that called off tomorrow. Certainly not bad enough to call it off a day early.
Fozzie4388
Bet there's a few tears and tantrums on a certain National League Speedway Group this evening
Shadders
Bit of a damp squib. Very low attendance and very few Cradley supporters there to wind up. No sign of Heathens fan Lee Mason, who threatened to punch my lights out. Perhaps he had to finish his knitting or something. The meeting was spoiled by the rain. The Raiders improved as the conditions worsened and there were fewer fallers than when the track as dry.

hackneyrocket
Can't understand how he's not been in the side earlier. On the Kings Lynn/Raiders page its said that George was on the pace that night. Been scoring well in the MDL.
cityrebel
I don't think I've ever been to a rye house meeting when so many regulars were missing, I really was Billy no mates tonight. Well done to the riders for battling on in appalling conditions.
bruno
Spot on with the amount of cradley fans shads.I reckon there was about 30 of us where has the first couple of years we were back there was well into 3 figures.same at home meetings tho.no shock it was called off after 11 heats,I enjoyed what we saw but British weathers a nightmare for speedway.well done rye tho well deserved.we certainly seem to be lacking something this year

How do home crowds look compared to previous years? I was at the Mildenhall v Cradley meeting a couple of months ago where there were many more wearing green & white. Perhaps the poor forecast put them off yesterday Edited August 30, 2015 by Shads
Hob Nob
How were the crowds last night Shads?
Shadders
Pretty low. Certainly lower than most NL attendances I've seen at Rye this year. Could be the weather forecast, which this time was spot on. There was a GP on TV and Spurs were live on Sky. Add to that Rockets v Plymouth on BH Monday with Robert Lambert making his official Rockets debut and it's no surprise only the die hards were in attendance. Noted that Warren Scott was there chatting to fans. Edited August 30, 2015 by Shads
bruno
The crowd figures at perry Barr seem lower than at monmore to me.hard to believe but I think the cradley fans got to accept that monmore was like a second home.not sure we feel the same about perry Barr.but better than nothing I suppose.I do think we have run our course in the nl but moving ups a big financial risk

Shadders
Wish I had gone now, I'd like to have a word with that fella myself! He's usually there when there's no Touring car meetings that weekend. Steve, the stadium manager is there every meeting and quite approachable. Been chatting to him myself Edited August 30, 2015 by Shads
