For Starman And His Unspeakably Ridiculous Comments.

Recommended Posts

Slightly changing tack here. All those that understandably had a go at the idiot Tipsy Twerp and quoted his post have simply given him/her/it more publicity AND should the moderators intervene given them more work.

Be nice if some of them could go back and edit their posts take out the content of the quote and substitute the word RUBBISH. I think that's against the forum rules but pretty sure in this instance no one will complain.

Frankly it's because of them that we have this issue in the first place.. It's for them to sort out, not you :)

I refrained from from posting negatives on the darcy thread I bit my tongue. Others didn't but I could see it being ruined which would have been quite sad. Fair play wackie you did what you think was right at that time but the gofund page was closed down when it came to light the was a official one that ended up not being official either. A bit of restraint and live and let live was needed, although the kks copycat or real kks had being posting he/she was concerned at darcys injuries and meant well. I'm not trolling as you suggested I was giving my opinion on when I reckon the darcy thread started to turn. Hopefully now its bollocks free.

Not even going to give you the satisfaction..............If you want to act like that then that's fine but I wont be.................At this moment in time the only thing that matters to me is Darcy's health........

I would appreciate it if you would take it somewhere else please Jacques I am not interested at this moment in time.............

You sound like Gustix :P:D:wink:

Sorry I'm going to disagree. I believe that self moderation and restraint is the way to go. Relying on moderators is too much like the ruddy Nanny State this country is becoming.

To be honest trying to moderate this forum since Sunday would be more than a full time job and if people are not adult enough to behave and show respect they are best ignored.

Gustix.... WTF :lol::lol:

I agree with self moderation, but you have to have something to work with and we can't remove the idiots. He could start with removing the defunct accounts, but hen that would affect the value of the forum wouldn't it ......

Edit ..You can actually hide your posts, I've just done it. but that was from a PC, not sure you can from a phone?

I went on the Darcy thread and stated that the news was awful and to wish him all the best only to be told I had no right to do that because I wasnt a Darcy fan and was a hypocrite! I have always said Darcy the person was a petulant brat with a habit of getting into trouble that was pretty much all his own fault. Only a sick individual would be happy to see what has happened but apparently on this forum if you are not a fan of someone you can't comment. I don't really like Ward the person but never in a million years would I have wished this on him. Get well soon young man

As a Darcy fan, I have no issue with this at all. I know he isn't universally liked. There are riders I dislike, but I would never wish what Darcy's going through on them, or anyone else, and I'd certainly send my best wishes to them if it did.

See Gavan I have remained very quiet on the topic, everyone probably knows I am not a Darcy fan but I wouldn't wish injury on any rider just because I am a Pirate fan does not mean I have to like the bloke but as a rider sublime.

I am part of a number of Speedway groups on Facebook and everybody is united as one for Darcy...............................

Unfortunately the same cant be said on here........Which is very upsetting...

#GETWELLDARCY #43

Stop apologising................You done nothing wrong...............As Chris said...........Hopefully we will all donate when the official page comes up.............Also hopefully we will all buy a T-Shirt if Pirate Cast get the go ahead to produce them............

#GETWELLDARCY #43

I'm not sure the Piratecast lads will go ahead with the T-shirt idea?! They are an 'unofficial' fan site and I believe there may have been some further discussion on the idea, even though the official 'DW#43' pledge site has selected their logo!!

Watch this space.........

I believe Piratecast are having problems getting permission to do a T-Shirt. Maybe as the official fund is using the logo (Which I know was made by Lee) they maybe working together to make an official shirt?

It's early days though isn't it. We've not come down from the shock yet ( well, I know I haven't) Some of us have chatted on facebook tonight about it and I'm going to wait until the picture is clearer...x

I work with Lee and we were having a chat the other day about this...............I don't think its so much getting permission to do it I don't think but costs and time involved................if they can work together to get an official t-shirt that would be great................

I've not been on facebook but have wondered where the monies raised from the official fund would be going as the site itself gave absolutely no information and as I'd never heard of it was a bit suspicious.

This link does make things slightly clearer

I always speak as i find, and regarding Starman, i can honestly say when i first meet him at Somerset this year, he was a very quietly spoken gentelmen, very passionate about his speedway. He took loads of trouble to organise me to meet Ken Middleditch. Nothing was to much trouble for him to make it possible for me.
