dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
You never mentioned Tony Davey - a great Rider in my opinion.dont disagree with you here TWK. A rider whos potetial and talent was hugely hampered by some serious injuries.
waiheke1
Ipswich could certainly put together a decent side from those mentioned through this thread!! Both Chris and John Louis,Sanders,Sigalos,Hampel and Doncaster....... Can any other team match this?? Not all mentioned in this thread, but a team made of riders who were never World Champ: Belle Vue 1E Langton 2 J Parker 3 C Morton 4 K Moran 5 S Moran 6S Sjosten 7 B Kitchen

Blazeaway
On one of todays tracks I would chuck Todd Wiltshire in the mix. Five of his lightning gates and he'd be World Champ.
norbold
How come all these Ipswich teams have left out Savalas Clouting?
Reviresco
Just to mention that it would have been Billy Sanders' 60th birthday today. I know that others on here would disagree, but 30 years on, I still believe that Billy had the potential to win an Individual World Title and, with him being already qualified for the Overseas Final and with that and the Final itself to be held at Odsal that year, plus a successful (although a year too late) switch to GMs, Bill was looking to have as strong a chance as any in 1985. Would've been Australian champion and been a contender for World Titles until 1991 at least. Not meant to be of course.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
How come all these Ipswich teams have left out Savalas Clouting?whenever Sal is mentioned I always chuckle to myself remembering a situation one Good Friday. The usual mad rush from the afternoon meeting meant leaving the car park at Foxhall was carnage Of course riders if they can try to get off quick so it was a surprise to see Sals van sitting there. He had managed to get stuck behind someone not trying to leave! So Sal literally couldnt pass a parked car! Perhaps thats why he is not on the list?
norbold
On a more serious note regarding an all-time non World Champion Ipswich team, we shouldn't forget Peter Moore, Olle Nygren and Split Waterman all rode for Ipswich.
Split
Not sure about Nygren but Split was past his best when her rode for Ipswich. Peter Moore on the other hand was at his peak and a match for any rider in the world at that time. It's a shame that he seldom seems to feature in the list of riders in threads like this.
