2ndbendbeerhut
If riders had to keep their starting ave until they have achieved it then the likes of Konopka wouldn't be anywhere near the pl.... But would gives the Brits a better chance
JamesB
That was as straightforward as they come. I thought it might be reasonably close tonight but the Panthers were woeful, worse than Scunthorpe and Berwick which I didn't think was possible. Trouble at the moment is, it's hard to tell if the Witches really have upped their game at home or if it's just poor opposition. Next week should provide a better sense of the progress. crazysue
I didn't think it was that cold tonight, certainly been a lot colder....and I feel the cold! Huge thanks to MrMungo for coming to the rescue of a damsel in distress by fetching me a cup of tea.

Crump99
So which idiot decided to get rid of Robert Lambert? Our best rider and our talisman. But we knew that he wasn't riding and you said: Fancy us to win, we are miles better So how does that work then
ZODIAK
Well that was a pretty crap meeting to be honest.
tone deaf
Too easy for the Witches, pretty poor meeting to watch. Wait & see what Plymouth can do now. Have to mention that Tom Brennan looked very impressive in the junior races, looks like a good one for the future.

mudflaps
Public apology follows Panthers thrashing Michael Palm Toft top scored for Panthers at Ipswich. Mark Plummer 08:24Friday 28 August 2015 Peterborough Panthers’ worst performance of the season was followed by a public apology last night (August 27). The city racers were thumped 61-29 in an East Anglian derby clash at Ipswich . . . and joint boss Dale Allitt pulled no punches in a damning assessment of a dismal display. Panthers failed to master some tricky track conditions at Foxhall as they managed just one race win and one heat advantage – both of which were provided by recent recruit Ben Barker in the fourth contest. Allitt said: “Some people might think it was a meeting to forget, but I actually think it is one to remember. “It is easy to pat each other on the back after a win, but what defines a team is the way it reacts to getting thrashed. That is exactly what happened . . . we got thrashed. “We were second-best out of the gates, in the first two bends and down the back straight. We were second-best everywhere. “Supporters have paid money to travel to the meeting and watch a performance like that. We have to apologise to them for what they saw as they deserved better. “This result has left everyone hurting, but also very keen to respond and I’m sure everyone will see the true spirit of Peterborough Speedway in the next couple of meetings.” It certainly didn’t make for pretty viewing last night as Panthers were put to the sword from the moment the tapes went up. One of their former riders – Ipswich number one Danny King – set the tone for his maximum and the home domination by bringing in the easiest of 5-1s in the opener. Another swiftly followed in a second heat finally completed at the third attempt after Panthers reserve Rafal Konopka suffered the first of his four tumbles and collected the first of his two exclusions. Even those with the hardest of hearts would have struggled not to feel sorry for the Pole whose only point arrived in a heat nine re-run when he was Panthers’ sole representative – but he even had to remount after a spill to earn that Edited August 28, 2015 by Flyin Panther
TheScotsman
value for money as a general point and the fact that I was entertained yesterday specifically whereas it soubds like I wouldnt have been at Foxhall The only entertainment at Foxholes was Covatti's sweep round someone - was it Ostergaard? Crump99
value for money as a general point and the fact that I was entertained yesterday specifically whereas it soubds like I wouldnt have been at Foxhall So assuming that your preference is for the speedway? Then your solution to make it more attractive that the planetarium/observatorty at Greenwich is what?

I will say that generally I am more than happy with the entertainment served uo at Foxhall though.
Alan R Horne
Well we could only beat the opposition put forward which we did with aplomb in a must win meeting, so I myself was very happy with the way we did get all 3 points. Seems sometimes "fans" only are happy if they have something to moan about, for goodness sake just accept a good win with all 7 riders giving their all.

If everyone thought the same then there would be no progress. There's nothing like a good moan to get people thinking and coming back for more so they can complain about the moaners
