King's Lynn V Swindon 9th Sept 19.45

Recommended Posts

A night where hopefully Rosco gets Doyley on side for next season as he is a different class.

Poor, poor night for the Robins & another night like this on Monday & it's game over.

what are you on about? it was level after 11. I am sure you've played football and cricket where there is nothing on the result for either team - this is nothing different. The team are hardly lacking in confidence having drawn at Poole, run The Aces close at KL and beaten The Bees home and away in the last 3 weeks.

I think the main thing was our riders came through tonight unscathed. Next Monday is a different ball game.

With no Ivetsen, Ostergaard, a dire Kenny Bjerre & Morris & Simon Lambert at reserve the momentum from the great result at Poole last night in another meeting that had nothing riding on it was there to get tonight.

So on the basis that momentum is a big thing in any sport it was a poor night for Swindon tonight as a win would've kept confidence high.

Very enjoyable night racing considering there was nothing on the meeting - well done to the Stars and well done for a awesome performance from Jason Doyle top draw tonight wouldn't mind Jason in our 2016 side .

Agree on both counts. Jason was a very able replacement for NKI.

I know nothing rested on the result but was good to finish on a high with a good entertaining match.

Plenty of interviews, riders doing laps of honour, Buster on the mike saying it how it is, heats going through at a good pace (until the heats that had falls). Shame the season is now ending - all meetings should be like that!

Good to see Lewis as well.

Momentum is key I grant you but when you don't have to put everything in then tonight's result is not a complete shock.

The Robins have done well to qualify considering the head start we gave both BV and KL. We are in the final 4 and have as good as chance as any.

Confidence is high, away from home we have drawn at Poole, hammered Coventry and lost by 2 at KL. There is nothing to fear in the play offs.

Roscos comments post-meeting seem to suggest it wasn't taking it easy. He's not happy with certain riders performances!

Rosco is a winner & bet he wanted to win tonight & will kick some butts in the knowledge that a 12 point defeat on Monday will see the fat lady clearing her throat on this season for The Robins.

Very enjoyable meeting but still disappointing that one of our better meetings racing wise had to be the last one.

Pleased to hear Buster take the teams failings on himself and made it quite clear things will be very different in 2016, already talking to riders. This is good news but more importantly, said him and Rob will be more proactive next season if things don't go to plan.

Promising words that need to be delivered upon.

Important for me, on the team sheet next season are 1 or 2 ruthless rider's, real racer's, hard racer's

We'd need a rider or two on a low average with Iversen, Lambert and Doyle in the team...maybe thats why Bjerre has been getting his average down...or he's just been plain cr@p most of the time ;)

I think you can scratch Robert off that list unfortunately.

Obviously want Niels back if he does the EL next season, would love Doyle to be here if he isn't, or to even spearhead the team with him. If you're looking to riders to improve on there averages, and Bjerre isn't one, Hans Andersen on a 6.3 ish looks a snip to me.

Not a good start or end to the meeting.

The heat leaders could have and should have scored more and it was thanks to Scott, Aaron and the reserves that the loss was not greater.

Jason Doyle showed what he could do and must surely be on our rider preference list next year.

I just hope it was that the robins do not like the KL track, but they should be professional enough to ride any track.

They will have to do better on Monday at BV.
