King's Lynn V Swindon 9th Sept 19.45

I doubt it Kelvin. No one more cynical than me but the rain Monday, covers would have to have been off, so track very wet, wouldn't have been able to put covers on that, plus rain yesterday and today's deluge. Complete and utter slop.

True...not thought of it like that

I am surprised by this given that Buster has always managed to produce a decent track given two or three hours of dry weather, which it is forecast to be after the morning rain passes through. Still, I blame the promoters - fancy organising fixtures for the middle of summer when we know the weather is dodgy, should all be in March & October ;)

Not sure where you are based or which weather site you are reading but I live on the Cambs/Norfolk border approx 30 mins from Saddlebow Road and we have had a lot of rain over last 48 hours ( still raining as I type) plus the Met Office issued a further "Warning" for this part of the country at 11.10 this morning until 18.00 today. I am not at all surprised by this call off and think it was the correct decision unless someone who lives much closer can tell me the weather there is completely different to what I am experiencing!

I live 2 miles from the track and it hammered down most of the morning as well as during the night. Raining as I type.

I'm not nearby, I just looked at the latest forecast:

I agree it's been wet but at Lynn I have seen them completely re-lay a track with fresh material in two hours, so rain over the last day or so is not so relevant for them as it is at other tracks, usually.
