Hopefully a full strength Berwick side will be available as they bid to end run of 5 successive home defeats.Looking forward to seeing Brady Kurtz who is having an excellent season.

Any news on Bandits team? is Kev and Mathias riding?

Looks like Thornblom doesn't make it so Theo Pijper guests, according to the last news letter Doolan hoped to be back for tonight. Haven't seen he wont be there tonight so I`m guessing he comes back.

No Josh Grazconek for Somerset after crashing at Edinburgh last night so its R/R for him.

Big gulf in class between the two teams tonight. Somerset stronger in every department, especially at reserve, Track was a bit slicker this week, which was understandable, given that it was due to rain throughout the afternoon, but never came to anything. Theo Pijper a fine guest and once again Jorgo and Captain Kev gave their all, but reserves were a weak link and Coty seems to be a real trier but his machinery isn't quick enough. Reminds me a lot of Jade Mudgeway.

All that said, some good racing tonight. Heats 13 and 15 were close all the way. Garcia chasing Starke for four laps in heat 8 and Kurtz and Doolan likewise in heat 11.

Highlight of the night though was two cracking races between Leon Flint and Kyle Bickley. Two youngsters with big futures if these two races are anything to go by.

If I'm being honest I never expected to win last nights meeting, but I did however expect a better performance than that , especially at reserve, the highest averaged home reserve should not be scoring zero under any circumstances no disrespect no Oliver Greenwood but Edberg & Hall should've been able to beet him .i know the various injuries to key riders played a big part in last nights result but I still feel that we should've done better that that debacle last night , the two 1-5s in the first two heats set the tone for the meeting and Berwick never recovered , when you down the race card there was no obvious heat where we going to pull things back . Looking forward to next weekends fixtures I'd imagine it will be much the same , will there be any Bandits fans brave enough to travel to The Scotwaste Arena ?

It was always likely that Berwick would be turned over big time at home at some stage and Somerset certainly delivered that last night and as has already been said the gulf in class was shockingly big. Only three heat advantages, four heat winners and most alarmingly only two points from reserve all contributed to the defeat, I am sure Alex Edberg will come in for criticism, and quite rightly to, but his reserve partner was equally poor, and all this from a World Champion. If the rumours are true of a points reduction for next years team building then perversely Richard Hall could be quite an attractive signing on his current average which is likely to fall still further by the end of the season.

Berwick`s season really is dying out with a bit of a whimper, maybe its quite prophetic that next week sees the dvd going on sale that categories the memories of Berwick Speedway and giving the clubs current situation memories is all we will have.

The saddest thing of all is that it is quite obvious that TJ and Kevin and to his best ability Coty are continuing to battle for the fans and their pride but where is the management they have quite obviously thrown in the towel because the lack of passion and desire from that quarter is clear for all to see get on the centre green show the fans you want it show your fight if you've got any don't hide away that tells its own story.

I know our promotion read this

Please dont let our club whimper out like this. Try do something to salvage some face.

Give us something to want to keep coming back. The team we have now simply is not good enough to win. People will not come if they know we have no chance of a win!

I could rattle off at least 30 people who no longer come any more because of how this season has pittered out

I'm in Berwick on September 5th for our league match with Rye... I can see a 2nd away win of the season coming for them.... I'm seriously considering whether to be in attendance that night :(

One or two around me were saying g last night that they won't be back, and before anyone suggests it I don't believe they are attention seeking. Rumours of unrest behind the scenes.
