customhouseregular
I am probably preaching to the converted, but for those who do not know the above-named site has a couple of nice features on the old West Ham and New Cross stadiums. Any chance of a 'Link' CHR please? This may be not be the Link you want but this website does carry lots of information about the London tracks. http://londonspeedways.proboards.com/ For your interest, I have been advised by another Poster to always query things through Google for answers - have you tried that in your search for the Link you request? norbold
I took part in a BBC London radio broadcast and phone in a few years ago with the author of the book and the man behind the website, Paul Talling. He talked about lost sports stadiums in general and I spoke about the speedway tracks. I think there is a thread on it somewhere on the Forum. This Link - an update to my previous Post - has more detailed information on both West Ham and New Cross. Information is also available via Google if you key in the names of both venues. The Link I refer to is at http://londonspeedways.proboards.com/board/44/london-tracks-1928

I listened to that on the internet from my home in Wiltshire..had my text read out. Good memories of The Frying Pan and The Den.
