Redcar Bears Vs Plymouth Devils 20/8/15

Recommended Posts

I will be making the trip up to the North East on Thursday as part of a Scottish tour with my first stop at Redcar.

I'm not sure of the line ups so perhaps someone can post the teams as they are expected to appear.

Always enjoy my trips to the Stmp and hope to see a decent contest.

Haven't seen anything official but best guess

Redcar

1. Richard Lawson (G)

2. Stuart Robson

3. Matej Kus

4. Dimitri Berge

5. Jonas B Andersen

6. Adam Roynon

7. Jan Graversen

Plymouth

1. Kyle Newman

2. James Wright

3. Jack Holder

4. Morten Risager

5. Ryan Fisher

6. Sam Simota

7. Todd Kurtz

Seems likely Robson will be back, but if not r/r - rumoured Roynan may be back, that one has to be more doubtful and "guest" will replace if not. If both are back and approaching full fitness will make it a good contest.

Hope you get a good evening both with weather and racing to kick off your tour.

Come on the Bears!!

PS Time to deploy agent Risager - come on Morten!!

This will be a tight one. Most of the Plymouth boys go well around Redcar, certainly Risager is no slouch, as are also Kurtz and Simota. Looking at it the devils have no weak links and I think a last heat decider might be on. Lady luck may also play a part.

Strange to see Lawson back riding for the Bears after Havelock criticized him after he decided not to return!

I hope Matty Wethers goes well, we need Redcar to win by 7+ if the Comets are to have any chance at all of finishing 6th.

To be fair there was a lot of criticism in both directions.

Chance for him to earn more money - riders/promoters often exchange criticism - it would be foolish to let that hinder future bookings!!

Of course, money talks! But I don't think we'll ever see Lawson guesting for the Comets again, probably a mutual feeling both ways.

Thing's were said by both parties at the time most likely in the heat off the moment and as you say guest booking's earn extra dough he certainly didn't let you down.
