EIS002
Can't agree with what you have written. Would you like to enlighten us about the funds grandad puts up? Maybe not ey. "David is a heat leader" well please start riding like one. Passing cookie, maybe you never know unless you TRY and have the equipment to do it. I admire Josh for what he's done in a short period of time and his obvious progression from where he was last year. Not many young lads get the chance to ride in an U21 qualifier and also represent there country in this weekends U21 team event. I can't imagine the pressure he was under riding for his relatives, can you Steve. My comments are totally bias as I think at 18 years old he has the talent to go a long way and I am extremely proud to be one of his sponsors who knows all too well about engine costs. Youthful exuberance YES PLEASE, tootle around for a point no thanks.

Some people only see the negative, Josh's improvement since coming under the tutalege of Steady has been fantastic and along with Steady and Garrity should be the first name on the team sheet next season. I agree with you, I would also add Arthur Sissis and if he can get the visa Ty Proctor.
Steve55
Agree. He has shown this year that he has talent and if he keeps listening to Steady he will continue to develop and in a couple of years could be a number one in the premier league (should it still exist then!). He's been palling about with Jason Garrity this year and seems to have taken on board some of his influence, which I'm afraid Josh has tried to implement rather unsuccessfully! Josh is an exiting rider, no doubt, but sometimes he has the ability to make you want to close your eyes when you see him going for gaps that aren't there. I'd like to see him bide his time, put a little pressure on the rider in front so that they make to error, giving him the opportunity to pass. Just like he did in heat 8 last Thursday with Branford. I also think Castagna will develop well at Sheffield. Once he's really familiar with the track and his confidence builds he should have the ability to pass better riders than he's beaten up to press. In heat 6 last Thursday he was undoubtedly faster than Wolbert for the first two laps, but not having the confidence he backed off and settled for third. Understandable at this stage of his Sheffield career, but hopefully that will change in the near future.

I think that over the last couple of months Josh has worked hard on his riding and for me he is far better and controlled rider, he is far from the finished article and he has and still does occasionally make mistakes. The good thing is that Steady has taken him under his wing and like Ty Proctor Josh does listen to the experience riders and take on board their advice, we saw that last season when came from no where to win the British Under 21 title. As for Paco I agree with you as well, but I think a lot depend upon what his finishing average will be as to whether or not we can fit the lad in.
