Poole Pirates Vs Swindon Robins 07/09/15 (rearanged Fixture)

Recommended Posts

The Robins return to Wimborne Road for the rearranged fixture on Monday the 7th of September sadly without the supreme talent that is Darcy Ward. This will be a emotional evening for both teams who will have to race under very difficult circumstances.

Darcy will be more dialled in than last time (although not sure about Morris and Summers) and Poole will prefer Swindon in the semis (unless its already decided at BV tonight?!), so if Poole really are serious about finishing top then lets hope that's enough motivation for a narrow win.

Someone will have to have a mare in the Poole team for us to lose by only 4 points as think it will be by a minimum of 10.

Looking at the latest weather forecast rain could be a spoiler.

Thoughts?

We'l be fine. They havn't got a clue what they are talking about. They try and forcast 7 days in advance, jeez, they can't even forcast one day at a time.. :icon_smile_clown: s

Now not on TV

http://www.poolepirates.co/news/0818_poole-v-swindon-no-sky.html

SKY TV have switched their plans for Wednesday and will not now be broadcasting the Pirates' home fixture against Swindon tomorrow.

The two play-off contenders meet at Wimborne Road for the second time in three weeks with Poole desperate to maintain their solid home form as they still have desires on remaining top of the table.

Poole boss Matt Ford explains, "This is a big meeting in terms of how the play-offs could pan out and I am sure that many supporters will want to be part of it, However the only way that can be is if they attend. Sky have informed us today (Tuesday) that they won't be broadcasting after all so I can only urge fans to come along and see the drama involved live."

Very strange.

I guess 2 reasons why it might now not be shown.

1. The weather forecast is not very good so they don't want another rain off or only 10 heats (although doesn't usually stop them)

2. The most likely being that Swindon were thrashed on their last visit to Poole so maybe feel it won't be close enough for good viewing.

will we have another Rosco rant to look forward to😉

It's very strange though after all the hype over the last couple of weeks by sky over this and Ward. Will that mean yet another week without speedway on sky (should have shown yesterday's)
