Cliffeboy
Gutsy win for the Rebels, clearly still not quite on it, I shall be interested to hear from my friends who were there to get the inside story, looks like King is ok after what sounded like a nasty moment. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Gifted a point? Thanks Bradywell I did say that was the way we might nick a point! Too little too late I think though. Cant see Plymouth failing at Scunny and Redcar. Only the rain can save us now!!
Baldyman
We have Thursday to go yet. It's not a given we will beat Berwick after they have already beaten us at home.
Black Angus
We have Thursday to go yet. It's not a given we will beat Berwick after they have already beaten us at home. When was that? Bandits have never won at Ipswich as far as I can recall

Edwardian1
I think you boys (Somerset) are being very optimistic. We have changed one rider !!! "One Swallow doesn't make a summer" !!!I don't see the rot that set in some matches ago will be alleviated but lets wait and see !Worrall is on thin ice ! I don't think Worrall on thin ice. He's holding his own credit where it's due me thinks.
JamesB
Just back from Portman Road and pleasantly surprised to find out that we picked up a point. I have been a bit critical of Tungate this season, but hats off to him tonight. It's a minimum of three wins now and then see what happens. It all depends on Plymouth's away results and it's probably going to be tight with Plymouth still favourites. The superior points difference could still be important. Anzum
Really enjoyed the racing tonight. King's win over Worral and Wright was superb. Heeps and Wright's wins were also very good. Man of the match was Tungate who only dropped points when in gate 1 which was terrible tonight. His ride in heat 15 was as good as you will see anywhere. Kept blocking Kurtz out bends 2 and 4 each lap to keep King in second. Not sure why King changed line on the last lap to allow Brady a chance of a blast round the outside. sommelier
Big fan of Kurtz, but do think he needs to re group!
Brooksy
Big fan of Kurtz, but do think he needs to re group! Brady rides on the edge, pushing the limits and scraping the fence every race - even when he's miles in front. Very exciting/nerve-wracking to watch but that's what I pay my money to see! Occasionally he gets it wrong, like on the last bend of heat 15 last night, thus 'gifting' Ipswich the point they thoroughly deserved IMO, but it was his 'on the edge' racing that got him past King in the first place. And if anyone with any influence at the OTA reads this, can they do something about the million-watt spotlight that hits you as you leave the arena. All it does is blind you for 30 seconds as you enter the darkness of the car park. An accident waiting to happen. Apart from that, a great night's entertainment! ancient mariner
As a Devil's supporter I thoroughly enjoyed last night's meeting, right up until Ht 15 Lap 4 Bend 4. Still, I can't complain because as has been said, Brady Kurtz riding the boards is what enabled him to get into the lead in the first place. The Witches fully deserved their consolation point, being good value throughout. Pleased to see Danny King walk away from what was a scary moment. He could so easily have collected two of the other riders on his way into the airfence.
Gresham78
Great night's entertainment. This is the 6th or 7th time I've been to the Oaktree Arena and this was by far the best meeting. Both teams gave it a real go with Tungate and King outstanding for the Witches. It was great to see the riders having confidence in the track and really going for it. Congratulations to all concerned for a great night's speedway. PS Glad to see Danny get up and walk away from what looked an awful crash.. coomie
Wrighty wining heat 12 was good and fair play to the ippo rider for giving him the room think it was Stefan
oldtimer
Enjoyed a good match, much better than last week. Rebels problem was they only produced 6 heat winners, thought Rasmus looked good, and fast from the gate. Don't know who got rider of the night but it should be Charles Wright's brilliant ride in heat 12 to pass both Witches in one move.
EnglishRoundabout
Is there currently a more corageous rider than Charles Wright? He spent almost the entire 4 laps in heat 12 literally scraping the boards on the turns and on occasions the straight, before blasting his way through. The best wall of death I've seen since Rickardsson at Poole. A truly entertaining meeting with the Witches in with a shout thanks to some fine riding from King and Tungate. The significant 'sun stopped play' delay hasn't been mentioned, no doubt because the regulars were royally entertained. The extra few hundred that tuned up probably had their appetite wetted too! Highlights of the meeting, apart from the Wright 'wall of death' was the King cutback to drive up the inside of Worrall, and Kurtz's terrific pass of King, before he unfortunately came to grief on the 4th bend, arguably over cooking it. A couple of mentions for two of the Rebels, Ollie Greenwood , who was truly in the mix in all of his races for little reward, and debutant Jensen who looked combative, and will add balance to the side. A mention too for the Witches, who were a determined outfit last night and gave the Rebels a real scare. Crap spelling!
