Peterborough V Newcastle Premier League Friday 21st August 2015

Recommended Posts

Lowly Newcastle are coming down to Peterborough whom are looking good. Can the diamonds re-produce their home form and give the Panthers a shock? Nah well as a realist I don't think we can but as 3 of our riders have had a few laps around Peterborough in the ill-fated tournament when our Lewi Kerr was injured maybe we will get a few more points.

I hope the Diamonds are entertaining visitors

1: Guest For Robert Lambert

2: Grondal

3: Blackbird

4: MPT

5: Ostergaard R/R or guest

6: Konopka

7: S Lambert or guest

Not many guests available due to the amount of meetings.

If you're using a guest for R Lambert, you can't have a guest for Ostergaard as well. Guest for one and R/R for the other.

Yes we know that - think Daz was just trying to be helpful by giving an example of the POSSIBLE LINE-UPS!

Robert Lambert not riding for Lynn Wednesday or Thursday so you have more chance of seeing flying unicorns at the Showground Friday.

So no Ostergaard or Mr Invisible.

Any news on Simon?

No point rushing riders back, let's just regroup for the quarter finals where I back our 1-7 to beat anybody over 2 legs

Not without heat leaders

so currently at the moment we have:

1.

2. Gronal

3.

4. MPT

5.

6. Rafa

7.

Thats it? Brilliant..... hard to look forward too it really.

I'd like to see Jack Holder for Blackbird, Thomas Jorgenson for Ully and Wethers for Lambert.

Who's rushing riders back? Broken bones are usually 6 weeks recovery. It was the riders who set the Aug 21 target, which seemed unrealistic in both cases although S.Lambert might have a slight chance, but who knows.

CAPTAIN CRASHES

PETERBOROUGH will closely monitor the situation after stand-in skipper Lewis Blackbird was involved in a crash on Elite League duty tonight (Monday).

Blackbird was advised to withdraw by medical staff after hitting the deck in his second ride in Wolverhampton's basement battle against Leicester at Monmore Green.

Blackbird was caught up in a spill also involving Lions guest Jason Garrity and Readypower Panthers promoter Ged Rathbone said: "We've had word from Lewis' camp that he was withdrawn as a precaution so hopefully it is nothing too serious.

"We certainly can't afford to be hit with any more injuries as we prepare for the most important spell in our season."

Panthers begin their Premier League run-in when entertaining Newcastle at the East of England Showground on Friday.

They are homing in on a play-off spot as they sit third in the standings with six meetings of the regular season remaining.
