Ghostwalker
Emil still says no to SGP, this time it's due to him wanting more time with his family. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=sv?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A//sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/544739/emil-sajfutdinow-nie-mysli-o-powrocie-do-sgp-sec-mi-wystarcza

norbold
If he entered for me he is a certain winner it would be CRIMINAL if he never won a world title GREAT rider. Just think of all those "Greatest rider never to win a World title" threads in 20 or 30 years time!
bruno
The difference is all the other riders proberly tried to win it,Emil not entering is something he will surely regret in time to come

waiheke1
Give it some time, Emil tris still only 26 years old.But a 26 year old whose best finish in a gp series was as a 19 year old. And Darcy's injury shows how precarious a rider's career can be.Would be a real shame if neither of the two most gifted riders of their generation became world champ. Even greater shame if neither were to even race in GPS again.
stratton
Give it some time, Emil is still only 26 years old.Time is slipping him by,who knows Tai will more and likely of won three/four titles by then also the likes of Pawlicki/Dudek(ect) will be stronger. Also can he ride that much better than he is at the moment in three/four years time? he will do well to keep at the same level. Terry
I really don't understand Emil. Surely every rider dreams of being world champion, it seems to show a lack of ambition. I'm sure the top boys in the gp make time to be with their families, so that seems a poor excuse to me. Even a 1 time world champion is always remembered in history. Who really cares who the European champion is?

Who really cares who the European champion is? Olsen/Briggs/Mauger/ (ex) and in recent times Holder have all made huge SACRIFICES missing out on family life.To be top of the tree you have to do this in the tough world of sport what i don't understand is when Emil retires surely he will be a wealthy man?.When he is older and looks back,i believe he will have huge regrets for me he is the best rider in the world but Tai is grasping his chance and fair play to him.

You don't have to have been a World Champion to be remembered with respect though ...... there's a massive list of riders who never were World Champs but were talented and great all the same .... I'm just sad that Emil isn't racing in the UK regularly so we can show our appreciation and enjoy his talent! That is true.Tommy Jansson will always be a great for me,even though he never got near an individual title.Emil will of course go down in history as an extremely ggod rider, probably even a great with or without a world title. There is of course the suspicion from some that he is being pressured not to enter.Maybe he himself makes the choice not to enter because of the apparent snub or extremely high list of wishes that BSI want to host a GP in Russia. It is a shame if he doesn't ride, but not as tragic as if Darcy will never have the chance.........
Ghostwalker
IIRC Emil have not done a SGP since he was fenced by Miedzinski in a GP two years ago.
BWitcher
It might click with people eventually. Emil does as he is told. No more, no less.

You may well be right but thought it was a Polish league match...

PHILIPRISING
SADLY that is the case. Plenty of us have tried but seem too be banging our heads against a brick wall.
Ghostwalker
It has been the same with Grigorij Laguta who also seems to have been uninterested in doing the SGP. Artem had a try a few years ago but didn't do well. Obviously judging by this seasons form Grigorij wouldn't be an addition though. Not really on form this season. In Sweden maybe but on ranking's he is certainly a top 16 rider in Poland he still is pretty good you are going on Swedish form surely?
